I read Father Albert’s book and it was awesome. He is a remarkable person. I would love to watch any show that he is on. Let me know when he is on and I will definitely watch.
Thanks.
He is not an awesome person. He is a total media whore. The whole dilemma for him was that he didn’t want to stop being “Father,” and not because he wanted to be a “man of God,” but he liked the power trip of being a priest.
I did know him and had to work with him, and he would do anything to get his name out there or have someone look at his books. I am not against priests being married or priests being women. However, I have a problem with someone who was all for the priesthood and its rules of celibacy and then when he got caught with his pants down, he starts crying “poor me, poor me.”
I also loved the book Dilemma and would certainly watch this show ! I think he is a true man of God. Please let me know when his show is to air, due to my work schedule I may have to get a DVR! I have read a lot about the Talk Show, however no where does it mention when??? Thank you
Cutie is not credible and contradicts himself all the time. Only ignorants will watch his show and I wonder if they can even read his book in which he takes any opportunity in order to promote it. He should only blame himself for his decline and not the Catholic church. It is very clear that in the Latin rite, a priest cannot be married. Nobody forced him to be a priest in the Latin rite. It is no secret that many priests have left the priesthood and married. But these ex priests left without scandals and rarely appeared on TV exploiting their situation. I watched the first episode for curiosity and it is like Jerry Springer with a collar. Clearly, Cutie wants to be famous and his religion is cafeteria style.
I would respect Albert’s decision to leave the priesthood if he had done that in an honorable manner. When he realized that he could no longer be a priest he should have asked for release from his vows from the Catholic Church, and it would have been granted as it has has been done for many other former Catholic priests. Instead he chose to grandstand his decision by taking it public on the beach and as I have read, going to neighborhood bars with his now wife. It seems to me that this was a man with a mission to be a “star”.First he was a star priest, then a star lover boy priest, then a former Catholic priest star, Episcopal priest, and now a former Catholic priest, Episcopal priest, star talk show host. It’s all about being a star. Good luck Alfie.
I have to agree that the way Fr. Alberto handled his exit from the Catholic Church was pretty bad. He should have done the honorable thing and resigned before he got caught on a beach with his girlfriend. What kind of message does that send? He broke his vows to God and the Church… doesn’t get much worse than that. How can he credibly give anyone else advice when he took the easy way out?
