At Fox’s TCA session yesterday, entertainment president Kevin Reilly noted that the network is not giving up on multicamera comedy, and its first comedy pilot order this season will go to a traditional sitcom. That is now a reality – Fox has just closed a deal to greenlight I Hate My Teenage Daughter, from Warner Bros. TV and writers/executive producers Sherry Bilsing-Graham and Ellen Kreamer. It centers on two women who now have daughters just like the girls who picked on them in high school. Veteran sitcom helmer Andy Ackerman is attached to direct. On the drama side, Fox has already ordered two pilots, Locke & Key and Alcatraz.

I hope they change the title
right? what the hell are they thinking?
Are you nuts? The title is AWESOME. That thing that makes you go “Huh?” is the hook, the snag, the tease, the ear-catching GENIUS!
And suffice to say, I’m betting YOU don’t have teenage daughters, god love ‘em…..
I second that…I have one and she is a well informed spoiled nightmare!
I cannot wait to watch it!!!
I would totally watch this show. Congrats, ladies!
It’s Fox. Why would they change the title? They will be as offensive as they can.
these are two of the funniest writers! hearing them pitch alone is a sitcom in and of itself. great move fox!! congrats to them.
these are two of the funniest writers i have heard. they tell a story like no one else i have heard. very funny gals…love the title!
Guessing both “teenagers” will be mid to late twenties. And I’m betting there will be about a ten year (real-life) age difference between the mothers and their daughters. :/
Can someone explain to me why it feels like every multicamera sitcoms on broadcast is produced by Warner Bros.?
Does anyone know who is playing the daughters? That will help make this or break this show.
