Fox has picked up another single-camera comedy pilot, this one from writer-producer Liz Meriwether, 20th Century Fox TV and studio-based Chernin Entertainment. The untitled project, originally titled Chicks and Dicks, is described as a young ensemble comedy about the sexual politics of men and women. Meriwether is executive producing with Peter Chernin and Katherine Pope. This is Chernin Entertainment’s third pilot order this season, following pickups for off-cycle comedy Outnumbered and the recent deal for Tim Kring’s drama spec Touch. All 3 projects are at Fox.

Is this the one that was titled “Sluts” that she had going around a little while back?
snore.
nope. “chicks and dicks” is neither “sluts” nor “fuck buddies” and it should certainly not be confused with MY upcoming spec “dick slut fuckbag whore friends.” i’m predicting a big sale.
Her titles are obnoxious, and very self-consciously trying to be bold. I read one of her scripts a couple of years ago. Eh. I think it was the Fudge Buddies, or something like that.
It’s almost as if you want to force her to write a script called The Couple, or something simple, about a couple in love, and just force her to WRITE without hiding behind some pseudo-edgy gimmick.
Huge. Liz is a huge talent. This will not me a lame bland ensemble. Good for Fox.
Good for Liz. Looks like she’s sold this on the success of No Strings Attached.
Wait a minute…are you telling me that a frank discussion of sexual politics is being written by a WOMAN? And she’s going to use CUSS WORDS like the way women actually TALK AND STUFF?
We get it. She’s a woman who writes about sex. Now actually write something instead of brainstorming “look at me!” titles for projects.
