George Clooney’s PR informs that the actor/director “is completely over the Malaria he contracted while in the Sudan during the first week in January. This was his second bout with it.” According to Clooney, “This illustrates how with proper medication, the most lethal condition in Africa, can be reduced to a bad ten days instead of a death sentence.” Clooney taped CNN’s Piers Morgan talk show on January 13th. George & Joe Scarborough did some dead-on impressions of Oceans 11-13 producer Jerry Weintraub on MSNBC’s Morning Joe show Wednesday.

Can’t keep a good man down!
Did you intend to include a link to Mr. Clooney’s video?
Malaria? Twice? Zoinks. Met a guy in nyc doing a documentary on Sudan. Tragic place. I hope they make progress with the referendum, etc.
Hats off to Clooney, Carter, Bush, Obama and others for trying to push things forward there.
Only snag is Clooney has access to the best of everything money can provide. He can leave Sudan and go Paris, Hawaii, Italy, or any where else in the world to recover. Not saying I’m not a fan or his or that I’m a elephant, but lets be fair.
Bad “ten days”? Nowadays you can stop it in two before it even hits hard. Wtf meds were they giving the man?
No one, with the possible exception of Matt Damon, knows how to bring attention to political problems the way Clooney does. He’s well-informed, gracious and humble and he comes across exactly the way you hope someone would whose trying to make a difference. He has my attention.
