Sony Pictures Entertainment has released yet another trailer for Battle: Los Angeles, the Jonathan Liebesman-directed alien invasion film. The studio has been offering more and more in a series of momentum building trailers, and the film is getting more and more interesting. It opens March 11.

This looks really good.
Looks amazing! Seems we might have our first alien invasion flick in a long time that that’s actually worth a darn.
Poor Aaron Eckhart, this looks worse than “The Core.” At least THAT concept was kind of original.
Are you kidding me!
The Core was trash give me a break Independence Day was cool this movie looks pretty good it has a different kinda feel to it District 9 was a little lame this one has intense action I love it
This trailer and the one that was released before are so slick! The movie looks amazing.
Shot in Louisiana. Unbelievable. Looks awesome though.
It looks really good.
Now where have I seen that before…
AWESOME! In times of national distress, where we all risk becoming too bitterly partisan, a good alien invasion movie is just what the doctor ordered to provide some unity. No one is a Democrat or republican when the aliens show up.
Now that is a proper trailer.
Yeah, but what about that faux-solemn music playing near the end of it? Jesus Christ, isn’t that just a wee bit … I dunno… pretentious for an alien invasion movie?
And while we’re on the subject, why do genre movies have to be so goddamn grave these days? I despise camp as much as anyone — camp can blow me — but these stories aren’t exactly SOPHIE’S CHOICE either.
Hmmm.. So, essentially a rehash of near every alien invasion film ever made.
Go with what’s worked before I guess. So sad.
Cry about it. What do you want? It’s an alien invasion flick…thats what happens, it’s an action movie not an art piece. They invade. Yes we have seen this before, but please let us know if you have a better way to handle. Maybe you wanted to see an alien friendship movie?
Independence Day without the overly-patriotic and Michael Bay-esque happy ending?
f-ing amazing, can’t wait
This film is going to do HUGE numbers it’s opening weekend.
Looks good!
Great marketing campaign thus far. I’ve wondered about this film since I saw their signs while they were holed up in the Gable Building.
this movie looks 10x better than Skyline. i cant wait. awesome
Is this an Independence Day reboot? See nothing original in this, but since I’m a sucker for alien invasion movies I will watch when it comes out.
That looks pretty cool, actually in sort of a District 9/reverse Avatar way. Hopefully it doesn’t turn out to be another Skyline…
The REAL battle of Los Angeles is, and has always been, between the “Studio Army”-film makers, producers, agents, and talent, and the “Alien Writers”-screenwriters.
Screenwriters ARE the aliens of Hollywood!
In “Battle: Los Angeles”, the battle lines are clear.
The Good Guys-the Studio Army-defend their home turf, Hollywood, from the invading Alien Writers.
The Bad Guys-the Alien Writers-are cast as merciless destroyers, who are technologically more advanced (use computers at Starbucks), look funny (jeans & blue blazers), and talk funny (big words and semi-colons).
The Studio Army are heroes with heart. The Alien Writers are cold, inscrutable, heartless invaders of the Hollywood Homeland.
Since “Battle: LA” was made by Sony Studio, obviously the Good Guys win, as they almost always do. And the Bad Alien Writers will lose-lose their screenplay to rewrites, their dignity, and their just recognition.
For as one cohort of the Studio Army recently said, the best actors say what they want, script be damned.
Alien Writers never win, as wave after wave of scripts get shot down by the Studio Army.
Just once, wouldn’t you like to see the Alien Writers win?
What would Hollywood-and the world- be like if screenwriters ruled the earth?
what the fuck are you talking about?
dude – up the dosage.
I can see the bullets flying already…
Judging by your far-fetched analogy, I am going to hope that you are working harder to make that screenplay coherent. This is not a put-down, just a tip. Keep working at that screenplay, edit and edit, get feedback, join a writer’s workshop, watch many films, read, maybe get a mentor too…
what a f’ing nerd.
The various teasers and trailers for this have been amazing I have to say, it’s just a shame the script was so awful.
I fully expect that all the ‘money shots’ were in the trailers. But then, what isn’t these days?
But in saying that, I’ll be there opening weekend regardless.
Dang,
This from the director of ‘Darkness Falls’ and “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre – The Beginning’???
He’s certainly come a long way. Just watching that trailer I’d have never known that.
Sweet. Looks like a good popcorn movie and, hey, at least it isn’t based on a tv series or game.
Brilliant campaign. Even if the movie is 10x more expensive than “Skyline”, but just as awful, the Sony Marketing runs circles around the laugably bad trailers for that movie.
I liked this movie better when it was called “Independence Day”. Which is indicative of the bark of this dog, because “ID” sucked.
just, please don’t suck.
