20th Century Fox has shared a two-minute scene from Rio, the 3D animated film by Carlos Saldanha, the guy behind the Ice Age films and Robots. The film, about a macaw that leaves the cold of Minnesota for the warmth of Rio, has a voice cast that includes Jesse Eisenberg, Anne Hathaway, Jamie Foxx and George Lopez.

My first thought was “Tiki Room” too! I like the style and flavor!
I saw this in an audience preview and loved the whole thing This is a lot of fun, very well done. It’s the same dude who did Ice Age(s)..
It looks magical, IMHO. A technical questions for those in-the-know: at the end of the trailer it states it will be available in both Real 3D and Digital 3D. Why two formats? What’s the difference? Is it because theaters use different formats depending on how modern they are?
Jesse Eisenberg is adorable as a parrot.
Looks miles better than that juvenile rango mess. But neither come close to the artistry and storytelling skill of Pixar.
