In his first public statement since his farewell address on the final episode of Countdown last Friday, former MSNBC anchor Keith Olbermann took to Twitter to thank his supporters and assure them he’ll be back. “My humble thanks to all Friends of Keith for the many kind words,” he just tweeted. “The reports of the death of my career are greatly exaggerated.” Olbermann, the host of MSNBC’s top-rated show Countdown, abruptly left the cable news channel on Friday night. Starting tonight, Countdown is being replaced by Last Word With Lawrence O’Donnell, which moved to 8 PM.

If CNN were smart, they’d be all over Olbermann. He’s got a fiercly loyal audience and would be the kind of noisy hire that get them to number two again. A vibrant CNN challenges MSNBC to be better and let’s Fox News know they can’t dismiss CNN. It would be good for everyone.
CNN’s and MSNBC’s combined ratings can’t compete with FNC.
Delusion is a sad thing to watch.
you are not nice people. good luck.
Olbermann/Rove would make good television but it will never happen. Today’s political television likes to yell into the echo chambers.
I don’t wish bad upon anyone. But I think it will be better now that he is off the air. He made a lot of awful and personal attacks about people. I wish him well but I hope he stops all the personal hate on people.
So I take it you’re against Glenn Beck encouraging death threats against that CUNY professor?

I don’t know that much about Beck, and the story you posted does not say anything about him encouraging death threats but if he did, he’s worse that Olbermann
And of course, you denounce the death threats made by fans of Glenn Beck against his targets?
I would like to see Keith on HBO a la Bill Maher. Or maybe he could join the new OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network). Of course joining CNN would make that network relevant again. Keith will have a TON of options and choices to make. Looking forward to seeing him on air again.
The only place Olberdork belongs is on the Cartoon Network.
Quote of the week!
Hope his next move is to HELL — with his father!
You must be a very functional, healthy and well adjusted person to be making that comment. I’m not a fan of Olbermann’s, but wow. Just wow.
Olberman thanked his supporters? That couldn’t have taken long; he could have just shaken hands with all fourteen of them.
Didn’t take the haters long to find the Keith article.
Olbermann has got stones. He rants against evil people and is not affraid for sure. He displays passion and balls in his fight for the common man. What courage it took to call out the president and vice president after they intentionaly lied to bring this nation into a 2 trillion dollar first strike war…..on itel they KNEW wasw flawed. Know….hell Cheney was the one pushing the “fixed” intel. I know Olbermann’s in your face style rubs a lot of people wrong but if researched he is for the most part on the right side of the issues in his fight against the evil empire.
He was as worthless as a bag of nuts on MSNBC – but hey, he’d be great doing sports on KTLA! Now there he could shine!
Keith, you belong in a carnival where there’s a sucker born every minute. Only the naive will buy your brand of the “truth.” And hopefully they’ll soon cage that snarky Madcow.
I get that Olbermann on Countdown was an absurd caricature of a news anchor but that was kind of the point. You can be off put by his antics or his personal politics but every night he tried to call bureaucrats, CEOs and the ethically challenged on their BS. If he catches some Senator in a lie or expresses personal outrage at the venal behavior of some investment banker or lobbyist I don’t see how that makes him a bad person. What’s with all the vitriol?
I can’t abide Beck, Limbaugh and other voices of the so-called “conservative” movement because instead of expressing a political philosophy they simply regurgitate things that are demonstrably false as if the words they say aren’t recorded and can’t be referred to after the fact. They don’t even pretend to care about telling the truth. The right wing fringe are like John Belushi in the Blues Brothers when Carrie Fisher confronts him in the tunnel. They just shout until they get the desired result.
Olbermann was a complete tool. He was fixated on criminalizing Bush and Cheney for the WMDs.
Good riddance. He ratings sucked and he knew it; he was bitter about Fox News blowing him away every night.
He needs to find some small niche in a small market (like HBO, TBS, etc.) so his tiny rabid leftist followers can watch him.
So they found WMD’s then?
I think Olbermann is pompous, and is far too in love with the sound of his own voice. That said, it definitely took a lot more balls to rail against Bush, the Tea Party/GOP and the tidal wave of corporate power obliterating every other center of power in this country than it does for the braying jackasses on Fox to attack everyone to the left of Hannity or O’Reilly on behalf of those same corporate pay-masters night after night .
Not to worry. . The hate buss will soon move on to vilify the next bright, shiny object that dares to disagree with their skewed version of the truth.
The software to do it actually automates the entire process. All you need to do is plug in an article, and it creates backlinks for not only immediate traffic, but it also lets you choose what keywords you’d like to rank better for.
Google loves to see one way inbound links from high pr sites. When you combine that with using the anchor text for the keywords you’d like to rank better for, it works quite well. These comments are fact ad can be researched on google itself to confirm it.
What keeps most people from doing this is not having enough time. This software automates the whole thing, creating high pr backlinks to your site, check it out http://www.brandingsupply.com.
