The toughest blows on Super Bowl Sunday may not be on the football field. Fox News confirmed that Fox News Channel’s top anchor, Bill O’Reilly, will interview President Barack Obama. Their sit-down will air on sibling broadcast network Fox as part of its pre-game coverage on Feb.6 before Fox’s telecast of Super Bowl XLV. O’Reilly and Obama’s previous face-off was during the most recent Presidential campaign in September 2008.

Bill O’Reilly? Ugh…all the reason not to watch the 9 hour Super Bowl pregame crap.
WE’LL DO IT LIVE! FUCK IT! I’LL WRITE IT, AND WE’LL DO IT LIVE! FUCKIN’ THING SUCKS!
Spar? There practically using the same playbook.
Another chicksh*t stunt.
Better he sat down with Cenk Uygur.
Why does it have to be on super bowl sunday????
Take him down Obama. TAKE. HIM. DOOOOOOWN!
If O’Reilly is so ignorant about science that he thinks oceanic tides are proof of God, then he’s not smart enough to interview my president.
You mad?
i love you trollface
But that’s what makes America so great. You don’t have to be smart to have a talk show, or even to be picked as an aspiring president’s running mate. It’s about equal opportunity, you liberal jerk. Let retards have their voice.
Why mess up a perfectly good football game with a political sparring match that will likely leave neither Democrats nor Republicans happy?
why would obama stoop so low? doesn’t he have better things to do?
i’m sick of obama sucking republican cocks
Drinking game: Drink every time either of them isn’t allowed to finish a sentence.
Political “discourse” in this country sucks.
“Andrew”-if O’Reilly views tides as evidence of God (much like the great poets, artists, and thinkers have been inspired by the spirituality of nature for most if recorded history), and that makes him too “dumb” to interview your president, how smart do you think a president is who declares his election to be the moment when the waters recede and the planet begins to heal?
I’m sure O’reilly scored with this, but We don’t even know if they will be talking about matters of substance yet. I just hope it’s a good game.
Oh-and about time Fox used more of their winning news content on their network–hate on them all you want, but they have a greater variety of opinion than the rest of the networks and they know how to win (note to CNN: putting sleazy former gov/jon on with a conservative most famous for not liking Sarah Palin isn’t it.)
“Toughest blows”??? You must not have seen the first interview. O’Reilly’s a blow-hard; he never has the balls to truly go after anyone with real power.
Better Michelle Malkin; Obama would fold like a cheap suit.
This Presidential interview is a coup for the team of O’Reilly & Fox “News” & the Fox Network.
From now until Super Bowl Sunday, and for months afterward, the Fox Team will hype, publicize, and replay the interview, increasing ratings for all concerned.
This interview is truly a win-win for the Team: Fox wins legitimacy, and the Republicans win more supporters.
You have to give the Fox Team tremendous credit…they play to win, they always show up, they’re not ashamed to root for their cause, they take advantage of weak people, and they never stop putting points on the board, no matter how far ahead they are in the game.
I don’t support their Team, but I admire their conviction, solidarity, and leadership.
My Team seems to lose conviction, solidarity, and leadership the minute they walk out of the tunnel unto the field.
@ Not Surprised: When will people in this country freaking grow up?
All this talk about political “sides” in this country are total BS. Whether you talk about actual votes on things that really matter in the flow of money in this country in terms of subsidies, erosion of civil liberties under the guise of security, free trade, immigration, taxes, and war mongering, both sides seem to agree in actual bill votes than they disagree.
People need to stop looking at the rhetoric and start looking at the actual voting activity of politicians. Then they will start to see that the US political process is severely broken. Both parties are suckling on the teet of major multinational corporations at the expense of what would truly benefit the public. And yet the public is stupid enough to bankroll the whole mess because their “side” is winning.
Obama needs better advisors, this is a bad idea. Why O’Reilly? Why? Anybody but O’Reilly? What’s he trying to prove? He don’t need no stinking O’Reilly!
Yeah it doesn’t matter what questions O’Reilly asks Obama because they will all have to be presubmitted anyway.
Dumb and Dumber.
LOL, msnbc follows Obama’s marching orders and he bolts to Fox when he wants to get his message out. How pissed are they!!
And please liberals, continue to bitch about this! It’s funny watching you embarrass yourselves.
ummmmmm yeeaaaa,,its just that the superbowl is not on MSNBC brainiac
All this does is lend legitimacy to an otherwise illegitimate news network. Democrats – and all Americans – should be boycotting Faux News and their sponsors.
OOOhhh, another supporter of freedom of speech and of the press.
O’Reilly is one of the few journalists that will ask the tough questions. Just watch his latest interview with Bush for proof of that. Can’t wait to see this.
You’re kidding, right? O’Reilly is a sham of a reporter. There have been much, much better conservative and liberal pundits.
And honestly, I don’t know why Obama is doing this. Obviously its to reach a constituency that normally tunes him out with “NA-NA-NA-TERRIST!” but still. I don’t think Fox News’s core constituency is going to listen to a word the president says.
You probably think Katie Couric is a journalist.
Just what a bunch of liquored up guys want to see while waiting on the game, yea right!
FINISH HIM! O’Reilly, I command it!
Is this where Obama will announce he is switching to the Republican party in order to get re-elected in 2012?
Or maybe he has a new system for getting bills passed. If the Saints win again, we will get single-payer health care. If not, all our grandchildren can just go jump in a lake.
O’Reilly has said on numerous occasions that he is not a journalist, he is a pundit (or whatever word you want to use). Has Fox changed his mind?
Mr.Obama must have good reasons for accepting this interview with one of the most obnoxious, fundamentalist, hypocritical men on the planet. David Letterman destroyed him with the comeback line…’because I’m thoughtful!’ to one of O’Reilly’s always stupid questions. Look it up!
If Mr. Obama appears as his usual honest, dignified and intelligent self, the right nuts won’t relate. They can’t!
I won’t watch it. Mr. Obama is too fair minded and good to be in the same room with this cretin, and this interview will be predictable. O’Reilly trying to corner Mr.Obama and not listening to a word without interrupting.
Point, Mr. President?
That will be one too many on the stage; O’Reilly has both the questions, and the answers: just ask him….
MR PRESIDENT, WHY WOULD YOU HAVE ANINTERVIEW WITH O’REILLY. HE JUST WANT TO MAKE YOU LOOK BAD. DON’T LET HIM HEMM YOU IN WITH SOME SILLY FOX QUESTION, THAT DON’T HAVE ANY MEANING. SHOW HIM AGAIN HOW SMART MY PRESIDENT IS.
Obama is a genius conversationalist. Bill O’Reilly operates about ten times slower and I’ll be surprised if he manages to lay a finger on Obama through the course of the interview.
As someone who has lived without luxuries and with luxuries I would hope that we as people could come together and find what is truly right. I do not want to fool myself in to believing that we would all see the world or our philosophies as one, but that we could come to a understanding that we are only here for a short time. Can we not for a minute in time lay our swords down and truly try to help the common good of our fellow man. I would hope that both men will leave their pride outside and have a true and honest discussion of what we need as a people for the people. All children would eat only candy if given their choice, but we all know that would lead to a severe belly ache.
