Quentin Tarantino needs to write a role for her instantly.
Thought she delivered the best acting performance of the whole year. Unforgettable.
who? elevate? oscar nominee goes there?ouch
Go Jackie!
Jacki deserves more than Tarantino. I love Tarantino, believe me, adore him, but do not pigeon-hole Jacki into roles about criminal matriachs. She can do comedy along the lines of Diane Keaton & Stockard Channing, she is perfect at it. I saw her in a stage production of “Born Yesterday” years ago in which she triumphed. Narrow minded US casting directors, you have a diamond in your hand, believe me, polish and she will shine in any role. I can see her in Aronofsky films and the Coen boys will love her. Woody’s casting directors take note, and Tim Burton, she is all yours if u want her. Jacki rules! In my own opinion
Met Jackie in Sydney before a “Uncle Vanya” performance. This was just after she got word of her Golden Globe nomination. She was so nice to meet and took time to chat with me & pose for a picture. On another day in Sydney, saw her walking down a street near the STC, and she was the same – very nice to fans who wished her well as they spotted her. Will be hoping she does well at the Oscars.
animal kingdom was amazing. see it if you havent. top notch acting from everyone involved.
I agree that Jacki would be a natural fit in a Tarantino film – she has stated she would love to work with him and Tarantino did hail Animal Kingdom as one of his top three movies of the year – but I also agree with babs that he should write her a role that isn’t some type of criminal. Maybe something along the lines of what he came up with for Mélanie Laurent for Inglourious Basterds.
