EXCLUSIVE: Dreama Walker, who is recurring on the CBS drama The Good Wife, is set to star in ABC’s single-camera comedy pilot Don’t Trust the Bitch in Apt. 23 (working title), which is directed by Jason Winer. The 20th TV-produced project, written by Nahnatchka Khan, centers on June (Walker), an earnest, honest, optimistic girl from the heartland who, due to circumstances beyond her control, is forced to move in with Chloe, a sexy, unstable New York City party girl who has the morals of a pirate. Gersh-repped Walker, who plays Zach Florrick’s conniving ex-girlfriend Becca on The Good Wife, also recurred on Gossip Girl.
Meanwhile, veterans Rita Moreno and Robert Walden and Everybody Hates Chris alumna Tichina Arnold have joined TV Land’s comedy pilot Happily Divorced starring Fran Drescher as a woman who re-enters the dating scene after finding out her husband is gay. Moreno and Walden will play her parents, Arnold – her best friend.
TV Editor Nellie Andreeva - tip her here.

She plays his conniving EX-girlfriend, who is trying to weasel her way back into his heart. Nisa is his current love interest/study buddy.
ABC is going to have a tv show with the word BITCH in it?
Exactly my thoughts.
And the slide continues. Thanks, Iger.
Don’t worry — the PTC will be along soon enough to protect the eardrums of America’s youth!
(Although honestly, yeah, that should not be the title…)
Don’t Trust the Bitch will end up like Shit my Dad Says. The PTC will have a field day with “Don’t Trust the Bitch” lol
Well, Paul Lee does seem to be taking creative risks. So, why not try a risky title outside of the norm.
Paul Lee is taking creative risks? Bringing back TGIF? Picking up a reheated of Bosom Buddies? So far, he’s only nicer than McPherson, not smarter or more creative.
Let’s talk in a year and see which of this visionary network president’s shows is still on the air and which, fewer still, will be beloved by the viewing audience.
This is what it’s come to, that bitch is an accepted everyday synonym for woman. I hope they change it.
Yes, let’s try and recapture some of that early 90′s “The Nanny” magic!
Well that’s what TV Land is all ab00t with the original series. (Sorry, vacationing in Toronto this week) Taking sitcom stars of yesteryear and putting them in new/old shows.
It’s comfort food TV, n’est ce pas?
Hey – don’t knock “The Nanny”. It may not be highbrow entertainment, but it did very well for CBS in some tough time periods, and has had a very healthy afterlife in syndication. And some of the episodes – especially the early ones – are pretty darned funny.
I was always surprised that CBS didn’t develop a follow-up series for Fran, given how well that series did for them.
Spinoff to be called ‘Bastard…’.
So I assume writers were so clever and named the bad roomate Bitch.
Did no one notice it says WORKING TITLE?
I read the script and I don’t necessarily think the character is a “bitch”– selfish, slutty, loud and crass, but not really that “bitchy”. It was a fun read. Hoping they come up with a better title.
Who cares if bitch is in the title? Not me.
SethJ, TGIF isn’t creatively risky. However, Pan Am and Poe are both very risky concepts. Nellies right when she says that so far Paul Lee and Bob Greenblatt are picking edgier/ more out of the box programming than their predecessors
Loved the script and LOVE Dreama! Can’t wait for this
i second that motion. good stuff.
It’s actual production title is now… “Apartment 23″… calm down everyone, no “bitch”…
