Script’s by John D. Payne & Patrick McKay, and Ryan Kavanaugh, Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen of Temple Hill are producing, while Tucker Tooley is exec producer.

Please tell me there wil be no blondes in this movie.
Only in your porn, Pete.
I’ve always thought if done right, this could be a great movie. But reading through the description, it doesn’t look very accurate from the actual story in the Bible. Hope they do the story justice; this could really work. If they take too many Hollywood liberties, I’ll have to pass.
Awesome! I love science fiction!
Cannot wait to not see this.
This movie sounds incredibly lame.
Awesome!! So excited.. a great story out of the Bible. Stick to the Bible’s writing for it and it will be epic to say the least.
Except that’s not how the story goes. Goliath wasn’t sent to track anybody down. He offered himself up in single combat, and no one would fight him until David came along. It’s not like Goliath knew who David was.
Great idea for a film, but if they can’t even get the script synopsis to correlate with the historical account in 1 Samuel, I don’t hold out a lot of hope for it.
I was thinking the EXACT same thing and I completely agree. The Biblical story is already dramatic enough. If the movie is to succeed it has to honor its target demographic (Jewish and Christian audiences) and stay true to the Bible.
Scott’s a good director but he better not cast Keaneau as David… the verdict remains out on this one.
Please no Keanu Reeves is right! Get some real actors instead of names for this one. It could be epic, especially now that Scott Derrickson is signed to direct. Anybody know if they’re casting yet?
I agree the biblical story is dramatic, but it would be over in ten minutes. I’ve seen the story done by church groups who try to drag it out for 1/2 hour or so, and that’s what you wind up with…dragging. Let’s give these new boys on the block a chance to turn the story into something that people will enjoy watching, and be glad the Bible is still something that people want to see! So what if it ain’t yo momma’s version? At least it’s coming out on the big screen and I for one can’t wait to see it!
