The road for Sundance films is often paved with adversity, but worthy films usually find their way through. Here’s a trailer for Happythankyoumoreplease, the directorial debut of How I Met Your Mother star Josh Radnor. I met Josh when he launched the film at 2010 Sundance. Though the film won last year’s Audience Award, its first distribution deal made on the heels of the festival fell through. A new one was made with Anchor Bay last August. It has taken Radnor longer than most 2010 Sundance filmmakers, but he finally gets his day in theaters March 4. Here’s a trailer:

It looks like a film that really really wants you to like it. But you just don’t. It’s not the film though it’s me.
Awful trailer (typical indie film trailer that edits the entire film into 2:30 mins). But wonderful script…so what I am saying is I’ll probably still see it.
I’ve had the opportunity to see this charming, heart-felt movie (probably why it won the Audience Award at the 2010 Sundance Festival) and I think the trailer does a good job of capturing the compelling characters whose story the film tells.
Uhm isn’t that what the Movie is suppose to do and not the trailer? You just proved Blahtrailers point.
I do want to like it, but it feels like a Zach Braff movie. I know, I know wrong sitcom, wrong dark haired sitcom actor…but still.
Mike,
Any info on why the deal with the first distributor, Hannover House, fell through?
Thank you, Josh Radnor! MORE PLEASE!!!
Anchor Bay is a dead end for films. It’s where bad movies go to die.
I’m sorry but this looks like absolute torture. I can no longer trust the Black List.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
oh please! This movie looks adorable!
I’ve seen this film, it’s Ted Mosby playing a scruffy Ted Mosby, a real stretch.
This is a truly terrible trailer. I hope the movie is better.
This film is important for one reason. It’s the film that will finally reveal to all the naysayers what a talented actress Malin Akerman is.
Malin Akerman – boo. Kate Mara – marginal boo. Josh Radnor – maybe? I realllllly wanted to be into this…. but now…. definitely, maybe is all I feel.
This looks like a stinker. I’d rather watch Forgetting Sarah Marshall again.
Looks benign and pleasant with some 20s cliche-speak. Could go either way. Dunno.
Congrats to him on being the new Zach Braff…Since Zach Braff has pretty much fallen off the face of the earth
Looks like Josh was trying to hard. Another forgettable p.o.s.
I have no desire to see this film, But isn’t Kata Mara SWEET! mmmm mmm mmmmm mmmmm.
why is everyone on here a dick? give it a chance!
it’s amazing how people can call something a p.o.s based on a trailer. if it’s not your type of movie then don’t comment and don’t see it. but if word of mouth picks up and you end up seeing it and liking it then have the balls to get back on here and say you were wrong.
seems most people come on here to just bash away at things. how about you try looking at it another way. why not hope that something is going to be good instead of just swinging away every time.
James is officially the best poster of all time. I could not agree more. So tired of people trying to pull things down in this culture instead of build things up. Cynicism is the biggest bore of the modern age.
Meh trailer. You don’t have to wait to see this as blu-ray quality copies somehow found their way online.
James nails it. Don’t go(!), those of you who base your analysis of a movie on its trailer. You are way jaded by life and need to get out more often! Josh Radnor’s film looks to be a sweetie. Good on ‘im, as my dear old Irish mother used to say…
