The cast of NBC’s Parks & Recreation is marking the return of the comedy series on the air after a 5-month hiatus with a spoof on FunnyOrDie featuring a funny (and profane) co-star Rob Lowe. Season 3 of Parks & Recreation premieres tomorrow night. Here is the clip:

Erm, 5 month hiatus? The last ep of P&R was in May 2010, so it will have been about 8 months. Which is still way too long for everybody who loves P&R and is happy it’s back tomorrow!

They mean 5 months since the new Fall season started. Everyone was on hiatus during the summer.
This would be much funnier if Lowe played Sam Seaborn his West Wing character who’s now working in Indiana.

If the momentum & creativity on ‘Parks’ continues, it could actually be NBC’s new 9pm anchor if ‘The Office’ erodes after Steve C. exits.

This was the worst bit I’ve ever seen on Funny or Die. Worst. So unfunny. Now I wouldn’t watch that show even if the only thing on TV were 5 year old Amazing Race reruns.
Finally! Parks and Rec is back! I’ve been living off the episodes I still have DVR’d but I can’t wait for tonight! It’s been to long! I work at one of DISH Network’s call centers and on my lunch break today am going to be using their TV Everywhere app on my iphone to watch the last episode of Parks & Rec in preparation of tonight. And that promo video above with Lowe flipping out is hilarious. Instant Internet Classic!
