EXCLUSIVE: With word circulating that Viggo Mortensen is in talks to play one of the title characters in the Rupert Sanders-directed Snow White and the Huntsman for Universal Pictures, will Twilight Saga‘s Kristen Stewart end up with playing Snow White? Though the studio has been testing young actresses and no one is set, there are persistent rumors that Stewart looms large as a potential lead. Mortensen surfaces in the lead of that movie in a role that had been rumored for Michael Fassbender. But Fassbender never had an offer and he committed to the Ridley Scott-directed Prometheus with Noomi Rapace and Charlize Theron. Ironically, Theron is also starring in Huntsmen as the Evil Queen. Best news I have heard all day. Kristen Stewart is so hot, I was excited when I heard about Charlize but this just sold me. I hope they do a modern version on this classic, make her badass but beautiful. I can’t wait!

I’m kind of indifferent about KStew. She’s okay and doesn’t get on my nerves like Miley Cyrus. I can see this with Viggo as kind of a father figure.
This will be an excellent opportunity for Kristen to demonstrate her range. I think an actress who takes risks is an actress looking longevity over star power. She is inarguably striking, hauntingly beautiful, and one of the few actresses who would be able to hold her own next to Viggo, who is thrilling to watch. It will be interesting to say the least. I will definitely be waiting for a trailer.
Anybody who has read this script should know this part is ALL WRONG for her. This role would require her to be upbeat, playful, adorable, fierce….basically, everything she is not. She doesn’t act — she plays herself in every movie! Oh, please please please do not cast Kristen!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! There is no way she would ever in any universe pass as “fairest in the land”, plus in the script snow white has a quirky kind of humor, she’s likeable and sweet–all qualities that do not characterize Kristen stewart. I suggest someone like Felicity Jones.
KS is gorgeous and is such an innovative choice for SNOW WHITE. Because of her, this version will be darker and delve deeper into the emotionality of the character. She is the antithesis of the bland, contrived, weak and generic DISNEY princess version of SNOW WHITE. Cannot wait to see her next to Viggo, they are going to be perfect together.
I agree with Janie. I’d be hard pressed to buy her as a fairy tale princess. My only beef with Stewart is her voice has a very hard edge to it. She doesn’t have much range when it comes to the softer side. Not even in the “romantic” scenes in Twilight has she been able to pull off “sweet”.
But I guess that all depends on where they’re planning to go with the character and the story.

Thats me not watching this film then. This girl has 1 expression. Thats it. Cold emotionless and that stuttering hesitant delivey drives me up the wall. Not for me thanks.
Oh God please don’t. Don’t ruin that movie with Razzie nominee Stewart. Girl can’t act. No matter what role you gave her it will still another be lip-biting impersonation of Bella. Her character will be unsympathetic, boring, annoying.
And many-many people will not go to this movie because “that chick from Twilight is there”. That’s sets the quality of movie for many people.
This better be a badass and NOT ‘damsel’ snow white. Kristen and Viggo will be great in it. I hope Kristen accepts this. She would do well in character/action drama.
kristen Stewart as snow white? Yes please. I hated her in the twilight movies but this girl was really great in the runaways. She’s good when she works with good materials. And she gave some other great perfomances with good directors like David Fincher and Sean Penn. Can’t wait to see it.
