From what I’ve been reading the “Red Carpet” may be more interesting then the show. It should be about the nominees, not the presenters or song and dance crap.
Whether I agree or disagree with the comments, always fun to read. Bring it on!
Go, Nikki Go!
Fun year actually, would love to see Bansky, Fincher and Reznor walk off with oscars. That would blow my mind.
I’m hearing that Gaga is going to be @ Elton and Madonna’s Oscar parties accompanied by you-know-who (his initials are P.H.)
and also I’m hearing that:
- Katie Holmes is going to make her solo debut as a single woman, sans Cruise at one of the big parties (possibly Elton’s party or the Vanity Fair afterparty)
-Simon Cowell is going to be pimping out his lover/protege Cheryl Cole at Elton’s party
-others to be at Elton’s party: Mamie Van Doren (and her 80 year old cleavage), Lisa Marie Presley, Kathy Griffin, and Florence + the Machine (performing)
-John Travolta is either going to be with or without his wife Kelly Preston at either the Gov’s Ball or the Vanity Fair party (yes, the breakup rumors are starting again)
There is nothing like a NCIS marathon on USA network on Oscar Night- and of course Nikki’s comment are great during the commercials.
Do I check back here for the live /blogging/snarking?!
Say what? Lady Gaga with Paul Harvey? I thought he was dead.
Oh well, wouldn’t be the strangest thing she’s done.
hint: he’s a gossip blogger.
lmfao @ Paul Harvey.
SONG AND DANCE CRAP?!!!!! It’s amazing that those who profess to know and love Hollywood continue to be ignorant of its history. Has no one ever heard of Busby Berkeley, The Nicholas Brothers, Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Sammy Davis Jr., Gene Kelly, Judy Garland, etc. Hollywood was created on a foundation of Musicals and Song and dance talent. LISTEN UP EVERYONE. People working in this business with attitudes similar to ALEX is what’s wrong with HOLLYWOOD and why this industry is failing. It’s being run by people who know nothing about the arts and can’t recognize or quantify true artistry. They don’t teach that in business school. Will we ever again celebrate authentic talent?
No offense intended – and those were heady days indeed – but that was just about 75 years ago….
The “Greed” fake ad was dead on regarding celebrity fragrances. ha.
Looking forward to a night of live snark there in the land of gift suite etiquette breaches. Sheen jokes will prevail. Rock their world darlin nikki
I’m sorry but Robin Roberts is just to stiff for this schtik. Everytime E and the other LA local red carpet stuff goes off ABC gives a half hour of just plywood.
Dubious musical numbers, a carpet bombing of bad jokes, blubbering stars, all enveloped in a hopeless quest to appear culturally relevant? Count me in!
kirk douglas is hotter than hot!!!!!!!!
