When Men in Black III re-starts production next month, Alice Eve will play the younger version of Men in Black Agency head Emma Thompson in the time travel storyline. The British actress plays Olivia, hired as secretary for the Agency in 1969. While it appears she was given the job because of her looks, Olivia is actually whip smart. Sure enough, in the contemporary storyline, Thompson runs the place. Will Smith’s Agent J character is forced to travel back in time to team up with the young Agent K (Josh Brolin) to save the world. Eve just completed production on The Decoy Bride and starred with John Cusack in The Raven. She’s repped by Untitled, UTA and Artists Right Group. MIB III has extended a pre-planned holiday hiatus. With a skeleton staff in place, the filmmakers are taking extra time to hone the script. Director Barry Sonnenfeld has already assembled the footage shot so far, and insiders said that the film is still on track for its May 25, 2012 release by Sony Pictures.

I know I’m gonna get some flak for this…
How about Men in Black 3D?
It is being shot in 3D, so you weren’t so far off.
Hey Mike, can we get some Hobbit casting news soon? Even if its just rumblings about deals, especially Hugo Weaving, Ian Holm and whoever is playing Bard…
Looks more like young Rebecca Romijn, but okay.
MIB3? desperation time by will smith.
Isn’t this essentially the same plot as Austin Powers 3: Goldmember????
She’s stunning. She’s also a terrible actress. But this is MIB3 – I doubt that will pose a problem.
i’ll show up if linda fiorentino comes back
Agent J travels back in time? To save the world? Really?
Will Smith said a few years ago that after the failure of Wild Wild West, he became scared and chose poorly, doing Bad Boys 2 and MiB 2. Well, I guess the lesson was forgotten. That’s OK, if enough of us shun these obvious paycheck movies, maybe they’ll stop being made.
“desperation time for Will Smith” yeah…as if he’s not the only sure bet left in Hollywood.
The only thing I’ve seen comedic out of Josh Brolin is the overestimation of his own worth and the importance of his cell phone calls on commercial airliners. The movie will fail without the banter between Smith and Lee Jones. That banter was the movie.
Bringing in a bunch of co-stars who have no idea how to make deadpanning funny, like they did with Lara Flynn Boyle and Rosario Dawson, and making Smith carry the entire comedic performance himself once again will ensure that there won’t be an MiB4 though. so by all means, let’s get her done.
I’m glad they’re making a third installment to the Men In Black movies. 3D may destroy the franchise. Hollywood needs to understand tha 3D doesn’t always make the movie better. Sometimes the writers, directors, and filmers focus too much on the 3D and totally forget about the things that matter in a movie. Kids now a days need to focus on more then just special effects and light shows.
without jones i will wait for it to come cable..the scenario sounds great but they need the banter of smith & jones to keep it flowing..
These people are not idiots making MIB3. Filmakers try to make good movies, but sometimes and for unknown reasons it just does not click. MIB2 could be used as a case in point-but if $$ is used as any form of success-it was. Now look at the production team involved presently. Barry is as smart as could be and funnier then most. He wants this movie to succeed creatively and financialy..he will do a stand up job. Then you got Bo Welch the production designer. There is nobody better. His designs are always imaginative and bring to the story the story. From a living room in Little Princess-to a hotel room in Primary Colors-the nightclub in Birdcage-to MIB Headquarters-all crucial brilliant elements. The producers have exqusiste taste in film and their productiveness shows it-have faith in Walter and Laurie. Will Smith what can you say? Just the best. He fights for what he believes and is more right in his decisions about film choices then any other actor. So I look forward to a thrill ride on this one…patience before killing it off. BTD
Oh jeez. Another time travel pic? I was really hoping they would take the MIB franchise off Earth for once. But another time travel pic.
Not interested. I’ll wait until it hits cable.
