Amanda Peet is set to star in NBC’s comedy pilot Bent. Peet was heavily pursued by NBC, which approached her for Bent as well as a drama pilot, but she ultimately went with the half-hour. Bent, which Tad Quill wrote and is executive producing, is a single-camera romantic comedy about a recently divorced “type A” single mother (Peet) who tries hard not to fall for the sexy “surfer-dude” contractor she hires to re-do her kitchen. On TV, Peet, repped by Gersh and Management 360,vpreviously starred on NBC’s Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and the WB’s Jack & Jill.

Love Amanda. Concept feels a little creaky.
Why does anyone hire Peet? So unappealing to me. Mediocre actress. Generally annoying. I really want to know does anyone think she’s entertaining?
I, too, am amazed every time she books something. Just. Don’t. Get.It.
Maybe it has something to do with her director/husband…does he have clout? Otherwise, I don’t get it either. Maybe someone in the know can explaine it to us…?

Yawn. Oh, jeez. NBC. What are you doing now? Tired, hackneyed old premise and an actress who would have been a “get” circa 1996. Oh, god, the NBC players have changed but the stank remains.
She sucks, plain and simple. This won’t make it near series.

Amnand is natural in her acting only problem is she smiles too much and too easily.
Hooray!!! I love Amanda Peet, she is an amazing actress and under valued.
I love Amanda. The premise though sounds abit like the original idea for ‘Cougar Town’. But if anyone can pull it off well, it’s Amanda peet.
Amanda Peet is dynamite.
If Amanda Peet hooked up with Kate Moss, we’d have….?
Great premise. Amanda Peet rules!
The concept is the almost the same as BET’s new hit, “Let’s Stay Together,” where the female lead falls for the contractor who redid her kitchen….hmmmmm….
