Following TLC president and GM Eileen O’Neill’s promotion to Group President, Discovery and TLC Networks last month, Amy Winter has been upped to GM and EVP of TLC and Edward Sabin has been named Group Chief Operating Officer, Discovery and TLC Networks. Both report to O’Neill. “Amy and Edward are terrific executives who have been key leaders at TLC over the past several years, playing critical roles in the network’s success and rise to a top 10 cable network,” said O’Neill. Winter, who succeeds O’Neill at the helm of TLC, comes from a marketing background. She most recently served as TLC’s SVP of marketing – creative, working in tandem with Tom Carr, SVP of marketing – strategy. Sabin was previously COO of TLC. His promotion mirrors that of O’Neill. Both are expanding their TLC responsibilities to include Discovery Communications flagship Discovery Channel.

Dear Amy, If i see one more lame cake boss kitchen cupcake show, I’m going to go postal. No one cares about baking. And please bring back the Dateline repeats on weekends. Love, an annoyed TLC viewer.
she must be really into learning.
Amy was an on air person at TBS years ago and she was the best one out there by far….she is very creative and an innovative thinker–Huge get for TLC.
Worked with Amy in her TBS years. A better Exec and creative thinker TLC will not find.
Well-deserved. Amy is a great exec and terrific person. With Eileen’s promotion and now Amy’s Discovery shows how to develop and grow internal talent.
I worked with Amy years ago. She is awesome, and is a triple threat; Intelligent, Creative, & Driven! TLC is lucky to have her at the helm.
Yeah sabin!!!!!
Amy is the best !!!!!
