We hardly need proof that Charlie Sheen is not in rehab since he is on TMZ right now doing a live interview from his back yard, but the actor’s former longtime publicist Stan Rosenfield just sent out an email debunking a couple of Sheen-related rumors making the rounds online. That was probably Rosenfield’s last official PR move on Sheen’s behalf as he just left the troubled actor. “I have worked with Charlie Sheen for a long time and I care about him very much,” he said. “However, at this time, I’m unable to work effectively as his publicist and have respectfully resigned.”
On Sheen matters: first, he is not in rehab, Rosenfield said. And secondly, he is not retiring. An email claiming so, which had been sent out under the name of Rosenfield’s company, is a hoax, the publicist said. As Sheen told ABC’s Good Morning America, he has big plans for TV and film acting gigs.
However, one online report is true, Radar’s post that Sheen has been banned from the Warner Bros. lot where Two and a Half Men has been filming. The actor has repeatedly vowed to show up for work this week as originally planned despite the fact that CBS and the studio on Thursday pulled the plug on the show for this season.
As for Rosenfield, in his live interview with TMZ today Sheen implied that Rosenfield lied in a November statement that categorized the reasons for the actor’s hospitalization in New York City after he thrashed a hotel room as “allergic reaction.” “I would’ve come up with something better,” Sheen quipped. He also stressed that Rosenfield couldn’t have quit because he fired him.

He’s bi-polar. He’s in a manic period. The condition gets worse and worse as you age, especially if you spend years self medicating with street drugs.
This is going to end sadly.
You are so right. Sad but true and I’ve seen it happen before. Unfortunately, unless he is locked up and evaluated, nothing much can be done.
I agree. I hope Charlie gets help soon. Some prayer and Prozac may be just what Charlie needs right now. I know I will be praying for him, and I hope others will to. It does get worse the older you get, and the chemical imballance is past down from generation to generation. It is very sad that so many people suffer from mental illness, and don’t even know it. Sometimes, It is like a demonic possesion which only God and medication can address. Unfortunately you are never really cured. Once an addict, always an addict.
I agree that Charlie Sheen has a mental illness that is not being addressed. I am a psychologist, and he continues to be in denial about what I would diagnose as a bipolar disorder. He is also arrogant and suffers from low self-esteem. The only way he can elevate himself is to think he is better than everyone else, despite his lack of education and acting is his only way to make money. He rode on his father’s coattails, never graduated from high school, and has acting as his only source of income. Hope he gets help and medication before he is six feet under!
I was wondering why his publicist is still with Sheen (cause it’s clear that he can’t control him anymore). But TMZ is reporting that Rosenfield quit after Sheen’s TMZ interview. Wow. Maybe this is a wake-up call for Sheen?
He`s Winning
Guess wb didnt really enjoy the “Charles Bros” remark.
Was Apocalypse Now filmed near a nuclear waste dump? These kids of the cast and crew have a special kind of crazy for Hollywood youth – Montana Fishburne, Charlie and Emilio, Gio Coppola (RIP)
How can Sheen be banned from the lot if they’re changing the name of the studio to “Charlie Brothers” on Wednesday?
A remake of “Mr Jones” would be right in Sheen’s wheelhouse.
Charlie is awesome, a breath of fresh air in a rotten industry where everyone is striving to be as generic as possible. He needs to drop the coke habit tho, and the illusion that he can get clean/healthy on his own.
Man, you are dense. Sheen is having bi-polar episode, and has no gauge of the extremes he’s going to – this isn’t ‘awesome’, it’s troubling and sad.
agree, so true
He’s actually self-destructing before our eyes – and it’s amazing. I honestly think the only way to sober him up is to permanently take his kids away from him. How can that not be a wake-up call, for anybody?
Sheen’s next show will be a remake of “Charles in Charge” and take place only in his mind.
Okay, that comment actually made me laugh out loud. Nice job.
His mind is blown, and when it’s that bad it’s hard to recover it. I lost my memory. Used to be a whiz with numbers I forget everything now. I”m only 30. But through college and all
I blew my brains out with blow. I feel for Charlie. He doesn’t know how bad he looks and sounds. I didn’t either. I was always saying, “I’m FIne. FIne.” But people started backing away.
Talking behind my back and finally when I heard a couple of girls, who were lookers dismiss me with, “Who wants to be with a loser boozer-blowhead?” That did it for me. I’m not as special or crazy as Charlie, so I went and got help. I’m substance free for six months now I look better, but my mind is still not what it was at all. I used to think, especially when blown up that I was bigger than life. Nope! Not true. Neither is Charlie.
Congrats – and stay strong.
Charlie Sheen is #1 a whore mongering woman abusing coke freak egotastical maniac!!!!!!! #2 he is now a major LOSER who will never work again!!!!!!! Those who promote/side with him are in the very same catagory – basic vile human beings who need to be isolated!!!!!!!
There’s always Uwe Boll movies.
This has really turned into a Hollywood circus.
E Online is now “claiming” that Les Moonves talked to John Stamos recently about introducing a new character to Two and Half Men to replace Sheen.
Although there’s been quite a few unsubstantiated claims in the past that indicated Lorre or someone else in charge would cancel the show if Sheen was no longer in it.
Not sure what’s fact or fiction anymore….
They could go ahead and let everyone currently making television go and ill just watch Charlie Sheen for 24 hours a day. Don’t care if he is sick because he doesn’t care. Now its just pure entertainment. My new drug of choice is Charlie Sheen.
Just re-watched the GMA interview. Dude has completely lost his mind. Reminds me a little of those interviews you’d occasionally see with Charles Manson… the ramblings of a madman
Charlie Sheen is not a madman. He is suffering from bi-polar disorder, which is quite disabling. He is in a manic phase now (grandiose and boundless frantic energy) but will soon be in a major depression. Those who love him should be very concerned.
The breath of fresh air here is the comment that Stan resigned as his publicist. I’m sure his OTHER clients are all breathing a sigh of relief. Good decision Stan.
Congrats on kicking the addiction. Your memory may not be what is was, but it would’ve likely been lots worse had you continued on. Keep it up!
My ‘congrats’ comment above was intended for poster ‘Ex-Coke Addict’ … obviously not for Crazy Sheen.
He is 1000% bi-polar. The media needs to stop interviewing him.
I totally agree with this: the media should quit following this story – it’s only fueling the fire within Charlie Sheen’s mind.
I agree. Sheen is clearly mentally ill; this isn’t entertainment, it’s exploitation.
Bingo.
This is manic bi-polar. If you can’t talk him into the hospital, time for a 5150.
This dude needs to get carried off like Spears when she went too far and someone should check into his chldren. He is a danger to himself and to them. This is no longer funny, it is sad and the media needs to take some responsibility and stop giving him forums to keep going off.
Congrats on turning your life around. The human body is resilient, and your mind and body will only get better as time goes on. Hang in there and stick with it. It’s worth it.
Who in the world are you talking about !!!
A poster further up.
Looks like Clint Eastwood has his Norman Maine for the Beyonce/”A Star Is Born” remake.
Leave the guy alone…..
He started it!!!!!!!!!!!
How far is this going to go before we have another Anna Nicole Smith? The guy needs help!
I spent a weekend with my son in my arms as his highs and lows raged out of control. His bi-polar condition being worsened by a misdiagnosis and a week of various street drugs and a near total breakdown. I know his dad is at the worse place a parent can be, watching all you love fall apart before your eyes. My son got thru it and now flourishes, but he was 20 when it all went bad. He did not have 30yrs of drug/alcohol abuse to overcome. Dad, get him, kidnap him, do everything DON’T let him die. I hear the ramblings of a person who is one binge away from the Belushi/Prince/Farley obit. Somebody help him or get ready to bury him.
