UPDATE: And if GMA and Today were still under the impression that they’ve gotten some kind of an exclusive with their Charlie Sheen sitdowns, the actor also did video interviews this morning with his favorite news outlets of late: TMZ an Radaronline.
“I’m supposed to be out there all humble and asking for my job,” Sheen said during the TMZ chat. “No, I don’t do that. I don’t understand what I did wrong except live a life that everyone is jealous of… I don’t know what I did to piss everyone off so much.”
He slammed CBS Corp. president and CEO Leslie Moonves for not firing Two and a Half Men showrunner Chuck Lorre. Asked if he would do the show if asked to stay clean he responded: “Bring it.”
PREVIOUS: In interviews for NBC’s Today show and ABC’s Good Morning America, Charlie Sheen toned down the name-calling from his recent radio rants a bit but continued to attack CBS and Warner Bros. for shutting down production on his hit comedy Two and a Half Men. In the GMA interview, he vowed to sue for “tons.”
“I’m gonna sue for what I’m worth and what I deserve and what they think they can take from me. They can’t,” Sheen said. “I don’t have a job. I got a whole family to support and love. And — people beyond myself, people a lot more important than me, are relying on that money to — fuel the magic.”
“I’m here to collect. They’re gonna lose. They’re gonna lose in a courtroom. So, I would recommend that they do an out of court settlement and fix this whole thing, and pay the crew, and get season nine back on board,” he said.
And how much would it cost Warner Bros. to have him back on Men? In the Today interview, Sheen demanded that the studio more than double his current salary to $3 million per episode. “Look what they put me through,” he said. “Come Wednesday morning, they’re going to rename it Charlie Bros. and not Warner Bros. Duh, winning!”
When it came to apologies for his verbal assaults over the past week, Sheen refused to give one to CBS. “They owe me a big one – publicly – while they lick my feet,” he told Today.
In the GMA interview, Sheen apologized to Men co-creator Chuck Lorre… sort of. “I’m sorry if I offended you,” he said. “I didn’t know you were so sensitive. I just thought, you know, after you whailing on me for eight years that I could like take a few shots back. I didn’t know you were gonna take your little ball and go home and punish everybody in the process.”
Also on GMA, Sheen admitted that he “probably took more than anybody could survive [on]” when it comes to drugs but is not afraid he might die. “Dying is for fools,” he quipped. Sheen said he stopped taking drugs a month to six weeks ago and swears he won’t relapse. “I’m not going to, period, the end,” he said. “I blinked and I cured my brain, that’s how.” The results from a drug test administered by Radaronline were revealed during the telecast, confirming that Sheen is indeed drug-free at the moment.
In the Today interview, Sheen said he has big plans for the future with starring roles in both film and TV. “I won best picture at 20,” Sheen said, a reference to best picture Oscar winner Platoon, which he filmed when he was 20. (He wasn’t nominated for the film). “I wasn’t even trying. I wasn’t even warm.” Here is clip from the GMA interview:

Well I certainly agree that stars are often undercompensated. If they can’t do the show without him, why shouldn’t he make what the producers make? That’s why Oprah makes bank. Because she’s also a producer.
Megalomania: isn’t it charming?
This is such BS. He has screwed everyone with his shenanigans and now he is blaming everyone but himself. That is a true addict. Charlie needs to get some serious, in-facility help so that he can get himself straight.
How entitled does this joke of an actor think he is? Holy cow… he thinks HE won Best Picture for Platoon? What an arrogant brat. I hope his trash show is cancelled for good and he never works again.
Someone get the strait jacket out. 12-20% unemployment, a disatrous economy and this guy wants a bunmp to $3 million an episode. And how about a new dinition of delusional: “dying is for fools”….Yikes! And if he’s off the drugs, why can;t he utter one clear coherent sentence???
The saddest part is that the media is falling all over this moron. Charlie, be gone!!!!
Awesome. Pure Awesomeness. Just awesome.
Well, I don’t think anyone can say that GMA wasn’t fair.
Clearly Charlie is experiencing a manic episode. He speaks of magic and mind control, classic symptoms. Self medication has lost its “magic”
“I don’t have a job. I got a whole family to support and love”
So all of that money you’ve been making has really been going to supporting your family and not to drugs and whores?
Nice to know you are sensitive to all of the families of people who have died from overdosing too, “Dying is for fools”
Stay classy, Charlie, er Carlos.
God, it hurts to watch.
It’s like some drawn out, fucked up version of Curb Your Enthusiam.
Make it go away. Please, make it go away.
His lawsuit idea is delusional. WarnerBros doesn’t owe him any duty to actually produce the show; their only obligation is to pay him his guaranteed fees (typically 13 for any season an actor is picked up for). a network is always free to cancel a show, and a studio may shut down as long as the network is onboard; an actor is the LAST person who he’s to decide whether a show may shut down. In any event, why does he keep doing press and giving more and more justification to CBS/warnerbros for pulling the press?
“I won best picture at 20.”
was this clown ever even nominated for an Oscar? you can’t win something you were never even nominated for.
“I got a whole family to support and love.”
i don’t think anyone is going to show much sympathy for the guy when trying to support his porn star family.
Charlie has given both blood and urin tests and they were confirmed to be clean
Who gave gave him the tests and how were they administered?
Drug tests only test for levels. That means there weren’t levels high enough to get him arrested. The closest way to test for zero tolerance is via hair samples, which they didn’t do.
Bud Fox is all grown up.
CBS, cut your losses and don’t reward this idiot with another cent. He is an insult to our intelligence, and worse yet, an insult to all of those middle- and low-income families struggling to put food on the table….while this unfathomably-overpaid blowhard whines that he needs “more money” to “support his family.”
Wonder what his kids think, looking at the nutjob on TV and saying, “Is that daddy?”
I can’t think of the scene in Apocalypse now where Martin Sheen stumbled around his hotel room in a drunken rage. This interview is like the companion piece to that. The heart of darkness indeed.
Stephanopolous should have intro’d this “intimate discussion” as follows: “We were fortunate enough to catch a drug addict in the middle of a manic chain smoking tirade, and we’d like to share it with you now for ratings and profit.”
Charlie Sheen is trying to commit suicide in every conceivable sense of the word. And ABC jumps at the chance to put it on television.
I’m not naive, I know this is how it goes. But Charlie isn’t the only sick one here.
so sad. utterly depressing to see a talent like his just devolve right in front of our eyes.
Is not vomiting on screen what we’re calling ‘talent’ now? I’ve never seen any evidence that this is a talented person at all. I’m not sure my opinion’s subjective.
Thank you JDog for your comments, it is true that ABC and others are taking advantage of a man who certainly seems mentally ill to make money, Charlie is neither a prophet, a symbol or a great actor– he’s a seriously ill man crying out for help. This will not end well.
It’s a fallacy that all drug addicts are crying out for help. Many of them just want to die. It’s warm and fuzzy to think that suicidal behavior is a cry for help — but it just ain’t always so.
Charlie said that he wants CBS to apologize while licking his feet. Imagine some powerful, massively hook nosed Jewish executive having to get down on his knees and grovel–some Fagin look alike. That would be funny.
It’s also great that Mel Gibson called him.
Get a move on, Todd! You’ll be late for cross burnin’, y’all!
Chuck Lorre and CBS should both be emabarassed for enabling and supporting this ungrateful prick for 9 years – they’ve been setting a horrible precedent. Anoyne else who screws up this much would get fired. They’re getting their due for putting him on TV and extending his contract – neither of which should of occured. If they reup his contract now they deserve all the bad press he gives them.
This is not a normal employment relationship.
In fact, i would argue that Chuck Lorre/CBS/WB are actually MORE invested in Charlie Sheen’s well being than anyone else in his life (for financial reasons of course).
I don’t even think Sheen would be alive now if it wasn’t for the number of times they successfully got him into rehab.
You make a good point on the production of new shows though. Sheen at this point has made it clear that he will never get help for his problems. Time to cut him loose before he ends up dying on their watch.
Ey, Todd, I’ve got the number from Fagin. Maybe u need a feet-job, too?
I wish they’d replace him. Men is a good show, but the supporting cast is so strong that any number of talented actors could replace Charlie and it’d be all good.
“My bitchin’ rockstar lifestyle”. yeah, that’s not how I see it. Not too many people are envious of the life he’s leading.
I also love that he talks about how needs this money to support his family, etc. Really? Was he thinking of his sons and daughters when he was blowing thousands and thousands on drugs and hookers? He’s so disgusting and in need of help. I feel terrible for his kids and Denise Richards. What a mess he’s making of his life and robbing those kids of a father worth looking up to.
Why did LORRE change his name from LEVINE? Can you answer that Chucky?
He did answer it. Very painfully:

Maybe for the same reason Charlie Sheen changed his name from Carlos Estevez?
Was just listening to Kanye West’s “Hell of A Life”. Apart from the fact that it’s an AWESOME track, I couldn’t help but think– that’s who we should be sending in to talk to Charlie Sheen! And if Kanye can’t do it, send in Diddy!
