FX has picked comedy series The League for a third season with a 13-episode order. In first-run, Season 2 of The League averaged 1.4 million total viewers and 1.1 million Adults 18-49, up +4% and +5% vs. season one, respectively. “We love the show, and the reaction the cast received across the country during their recent comedy tour is a sign the show is really building momentum,” FX’s EVP Nick Grad said.
Set against the backdrop of a fantasy football league, the FX Prods.-produced The League is about friendship, marriage, parenting, and growing up…or refusing to grow up. It was created by the husband-and-wife team of Jeff Schaffer and Jackie Marcus Schaffer who serve as executive producers and directors. The ensemble cast features Mark Duplass, Stephen Rannazzisi, Nick Kroll, Paul Scheer, Katie Aselton and Jon Lajoie.

This show replaces the outrageous humor that It’s Always Sunny used to provide. Dick and fart jokes have never been funnier and I commend this cast for pulling it off perfectly.
As a woman watching this almost all-male cast…. I LOVE it!! It’s so funny & I count down the days for season 3. Honestly, my favorite show on TV right now. Ive watched Kegel the Elf 6 times (half those times I was introducing new peeps to the show) Keep it up, FX!!

this show is ‘popular’ amongst guys cause THERE IS NO OTHER TV SCRIPTED SHOW ON ABOUT FANTASY FOOTBALL TO COMPARE IT TO!!! You put a show out there that is cleverly written and it will crush ‘the league’. FX is smart to renew this show as long as there is no other show out there that shares the same premise. And this is coming from a stoner who is a huge fan of ARCHER, COMMUNITY, PRANKED, SONS OF ANARCHY, FAMILY GUY AND CLEVELAND SHOW. Credit the creators of this shitty show and FX for striking while the iron was hot.

If you don’t like this show, DON’T WATCH IT. Let the rest of us who love it and appreciate how gutbustingly funny it is have it to enjoy. You can go off and watch something more appropriate to your level of humor…like any of the many “quality” CBS sitcoms out there.
Best show on TV! I can honestly say that I can only think of a few shows that I actually laugh out loud at and this is one of them. If you are a guy and you like football, you will love this show. Me and my friends have had almost exactly the same conversations as some of these shows. It is like watching my senior year in college.
This show makes me HOWL!!! Great writing and casting. My girlfriend and her friends are all fans of the show and come over for every episode. Fantasy Football is a HUGE market with a very wide male and female demo. FX has the balls and creativity and deserve more success….

thank goodness the show is renewed for another season! i LOVE this show. dont know a thing about fantasy football but the show is awesome. hopefully, there will be 10+ seasons of this show. LOVE it.

I could not care less about fantasy football and this show is still one of my favorites. It is hilarious! Just today I was looking into whether or not it was coming back for Season 3 and was very happy to find this article.
