EXCLUSIVE: Veteran Gary Cole is set to star in Fox’s comedy pilot Tagged. The hybrid comedy, from Sony TV, Reveille and writers-executive producers David Guarascio and Moses Port, is a workplace ensemble set at the Los Angeles County’s coroner’s office that is loosely based on the life of Shiya Robowsky and centers on respected coroner James Percy (Cole) and his son, Wally, who joins him fresh out of medical school. Cole’s recent series gigs include recurring roles on HBO’s Entourage as a TV lit agent with a lot of baggage and on CBS’ The Good Wife as a right-wing ballistics expert. He is with ICM and manager Barbara Gale.

Always happy to see the ever so talented Gary working !
Gary recently had a hilarious recurring role on Fox’s The Good Guys as Bradley Whitford’s ex-partner, which I’m guessing is what put him on Fox’s radar for this. He’s an absolute riot, and a heck of a cool guy. (Been a big fan of his since the pilot for NBC’s Midnight Caller back in the 80s.)
This Pilot was the worst I’ve read all season. WHY GARY COLE! WHY?
I’m beginning to think the posters with negative comments must be from rival networks, studios, agencies and management companies…
This is a really funny project. It is a strong role for a guy in his late 40s/early 50s – of which there definitely are not very many – it has heart and will be very funny…
Leave the sour grapes at home.
Gary Cole is brilliant. Someone should just make a series based on his character in Office Space (and avoid the hot mess NBC has made with the office).
Whar is live action Harvey Birdman? Whar!?
I liked this script – one of the better ones so far. Cole will be great as the comedic version of House with a kid.
talented guy and just as nice. always happy to see him in something.
But are they gonna need him to go ahead and come in on Sunday?
Actually, Sparky that was SATURDAY!
Love him. Usually the best thing in whatever he appears in. Not sure why he isn’t a household name by now…
Gary Cole is just brilliant. And Sparky….that was great.
While I agree wholeheartedly a live action Harvey Birdman would be a riot I think it would find the same meager audience as the live acton Tick. People are just too stupid, that’s why Arrested development didn’t last.
Gary Cold.
he is as good as it gets. if this goes, and it should, will be the star he has always been destined to be
always admired him. he elevates any project he’s in.
It’s about time we saw the return of Sheriff Buck.
Loved him as Dr. Jeffrey Macdonald in Fatal Vision and Mr. Brady in The Brady Bunch.
I absolutely adore Gary Cole . This guy never disappoints, and it is nothing he cannot do. I am especially a big fan of Gary’s work in : Office Space, American Gothic, Midnight Caller, The Good Wife, and all his tv voice work. He is one of our finest American character actors – he is up there with the incredible & always reliable Richard Jenkins & Ed Harris .
And, yes Mr. Cole was a riot on Fox’s The Good Guys . Gary worked very well with Bradley Whitford on the Fox series- great chemistry between those two and you could tell they brought their A-game without being competitive with each other.
