Man, and I had such hope for this thing…
Just garbage.
Note to filmmakers: Stop phoning it in.
I wish I had your prescience and deductive skills. Seriously, what are you comparing this to and/or how do you come up with your conclusion from a two minute trailer that they are ‘phoning it in’? You must like the genre especially when you apparently had ‘hopes for this film’.
I do like the genre, Neil… it’s called horror/thriller. Look it up, bub. They can be pretty exciting sometimes… too bad this one is overcooked.
Now where’s my latte?
Read the script. Love the concept but they should’ve gone bigger with this thing. It’ll make a killing because they kept it low buj.
I agree.
It doesn’t need to become Battlefield LA but at least open up the world a little bit.
i laughed twice….not a good sign.
I want to see that movie RIGHT NOW!
Underwhelming…
bring it! hell yeah! looks great. i was excited watching it. emotionally not physically, unless you count blood flow increase. now i understand your title “hot trailer” i originally thought u were showing nice butts.
wah wah wah wawawawaah.
good job thanks 4 sharing.
This is brilliantly done. I love the way it’s put together. Should be a big success.
Is there anything we DIDN’T see in the trailer? A little mystery, please.
Uhhhh, that’s actor Warren Christie in the trailer. How do they even plan to “claim” this is real?
Did anyone see the spider in the guys helmut? huh, that looks terrible…Arachnophobia was bad the first time around, putting it on the moon, and saying Timur heard the plot line so slapped his name on it will not make this any good….
This looks FANTASTIC. Can’t wait to see it!
this looks just plain awful. It’s like after coming up with a semi decent idea they just went into sad formula land. Sigh.
I always wonder who the person is that says “yes” to these things and then writes a check to make it.
Um…that was really awful. Considering the people involved you would think that they could come up with something that didn’t look like a bunch of bad actors pretending to terrorized by a moon monster/virus/thing.
And, BTW, if you’re going to have “found footage” from the moon you should probably lose the monster noises outside the lunar module. Last time I checked the moon didn’t have an atmosphere to travel through, which would be OK if it was a movie, but not if it is “found footage”.
Dumb.
Is that Warren Christie from Malibu Shark Attack and October Road and the upcoming Steven Segal tv show???
I must say… this is very underwhelming.
Read the script last year and thought Timur could really do something cool with this. Like a previous commenter, it feels like the filmmakers phoned this in…? Do you guys disagree? I realize its a trailer… but…
They turned this thing around QUICK. They didn’t start shooting until late December/early January if I’m not mistaken..?
Wow. Completely lame. I had huge hopes for this but the trailer was predictable to the point of silly and why bother throwing in everything but the kitchen sink as far as the aliens go? Too bad…
total crap!
Does anyone on Deadline like ANYTHING anymore that does not have Christopher Nolan’s name attached? I thought this looked really cool! I can’t wait!
No way would I want to sit in a theater with that.
In space no one can hear you barf.
This has all the makings of a great comedy, like The Perfect Storm. Oh, and we never went to the moon.
Actually, both Apollo 18 and Apollo 19 were bought and paid for by the American taxpayers, and didn’t fly, not because of budget cuts, but because the 12 astronauts who walked on the moon successfully accomplished their mission: an exploration and recovery of artifacts left by a long extinct ancient technical civilization of terrestrial origins! This part of each manned lunar mission remains very highly classified to this day, but Richard C. Hoagland and Mike Bara has been successful in discovering those who leaked classified mission information in their seminal volume: “Dark Mission: The Secret History of NASA.” Lots of stuff recovered by Apollo 17 astronauts Gene Cernan and Harrison Schmidt at the South Massif and “Shorty Crater” at Taurus Litrow, December 1972!
“Apollo 18″ trailer has a good hook…”Discover why we never went back”.
Problem is, I never cared why we went there in the first place.
Space? Moon? Who gives a damn?
Apollo? Ancient history & irrelevant to everyone.
And a “murder who dun it?” on the moon?
I don’t give a damn about “murder who dun its” on earth-much less the moon.
However, if the REAL reason we never went back was because Apollo 17 astronauts became disoriented when they encountered a race of young, chesty Moon Sex Goddesses living on the back side of the moon…OK, NOW you’ve got a movie!
The real reason there were no manned lunar landings after Apollo 17 was budgetary.
There were to have been two more lunar landings in the mid-1970′s, after the Skylab missions ended.
Had they ended up being flown, chances are a Russian would have been the Lunar Module pilot on the last one, instead of the earth-orbital Apollo/Soyuz mission that did happen.
Is this the extra footage that Stanley Kubrick shot when he conspired with NASA to fake the moon landing? You know, the one that the conspiracists have been yapping about for 40 years?
Can we all agree that the people who state they want to see this movie and/or it looks k3wl work for either Dimension film, is family member related to Timur Bekmambetov, and/or is under the age of 11?
This movie looks simply awful.
No, not EVERYONE who likes these types of movies is a “relative of someone on the production”, etc. etc.
If this trailer is marketed on the right films (Marvel titles, etc), it has the potential to draw in all of the audience members who made the low-budget scarrer/”found footage” winner PARANORMAL ACTIVITY a success, despite what any of you Debbie Downers have to say about it.
Just sayin’.
Oh, and let others have their own opinions without pouncing on them every once in a while for a change. Jeez.
For a sec there I thought the ‘Apollo 18′ trailer was the beginning of the next ‘Transformers’ movie by Michael Bay. I was fully expecting some metallic beast to leap forth and pounce on the astronauts.
Come to think of it the ‘Transformers’ trailer was actually more suspenseful. Gotta give Michael Bay, painful as it is to do so, a bit of credit for cutting a decent trailer for his next box office smash!
hard to justify a “found footage” film wherein the footage would actually be destroyed miles away in space. also – the biggest hurdle of logic to overcome with these movies is the: why the fuck would someone keep filming when they’re being chased by alien/monster/ghost/cloverfield etc. This error in logic is only enhanced when you have the responsibilities of space thrown in.
