The agency now represents three nominees in the Best Supporting Actress category – Jacki Weaver for Animal Kingdom, Melissa Leo for The Fighter, and Hailee Steinfeld for True Grit, not to mention nominations for Jesse Eisenberg and director Tom Hooper. Yesterday, Weaver signed with Alex Cole from Elevate Entertainment for management.

Continuing in their great legacy of representing only supporting actors.
And what great legacy of representation are you represented by?
ooooh, ya got me georgie. I’m must be a horribly jealous artist who would KILL to be signed by APA.
Couldn’t happen to a nicer, more deserving lady. She’s a real actress in a sea of bitches who haven’t even acted on stage yet have million dollar careers.
Agreed.
What couldn’t have happened to a nicer, more deserving lady, the Oscar, or ICM?
The only major agency missing from the best actor and actress race is UTA.
Bet the idjuts at WME feel pretty stoopid for pushing Joanne Wiles out the door at this point…
no, she’s still a nightmare.
Joanne Wiles is a nightmare, but she has the chicest list in town this month. And, by the way, if you’re in the business, you’ll take her call.
ICM is doing a great job. They are now the underdog and supporting actors become leading actors after getting nominations like these. Focus and hard work and rewards will come to the agents and actors at ICM.
It’s true that UTA doesn’t have any clients in acting categories, but WME is also lacking, especially for an agency of that size. Maybe they’ll be successful in their new strategy of pairing A-list clients with downtrodden brands. I bet Robert Pattinson is fired up for his Datsun commercial.
