NBC has given a presentation order to an untitled comedy written by and starring Upright Citizens Brigade alums Lennon Parham and Jessica St. Clair. The single-camera project, from Scot Armstrong and Ravi Nandan’s American Work and UMS, is a comedy triangle centered on a woman (Parham) and her new live-in boyfriend. They find themselves taking in her distraught (and pushy) best girlfriend (St. Clair) who ends up on their doorstep after a divorce. Parham, St. Clair, Armstrong and Nandan are all exec producing. The pilot order stems from American Work’s first-look deal with NBC. The company previously produced the network’s 2009 comedy pilot Off Duty.

Both of these women are so funny, so talented, so deserving of this success. Hope NBC is smart enough to put it on the air.
Sounds like the best decision NBC has made in a hot minute.

Will this be a multi-camera or single camera? Anyone know?
Check the second sentence, BB.
The second sentence is “The single-camera project, from Scot Armstrong and Ravi Nandan’s American Work and UMS, is a comedy triangle centered on a woman (Parham) and her new live-in boyfriend.” So I think it’s single camera…
Fantastic! This is a must see. These women are so talented.
Can’t wait.
Lennon is just awesome. I knew her back in high school and she has always had that awesome deadpan humor.
This is the first 1/2 hour NBC picked up that I would watch. Hope it gets to my TV screen.
It’s nice to see a show picked up without star f’in as a factor. If NBC brings this to series it could be a return to their glory days when they made stars. These two are hilarious, smart and not overexposed. Hope it happens.
Huge fan of Ravi!!! Congrats!!! And the actress are hilarious!!! This is great news for TV and diversity hiring!!!
St. Clair has been killing it in her ventures thus far, I expect this will be equally hilarious.
Jessica St. Clair might be funny somewhere, but she ruins Comedy Death Ray everytime she’s on it. Absolutely unlistenable. She obviously hasn’t heard a teenager speak in two decades, because her character SUCKS! I really like Donald Glover and Andy Richter but wasn’t able to listen to their cdr’s because of her. Be warned NBC.
St. Clair’s hilarious on Death Ray. Kills every time.
Congratulations to the humorous duo! The billboard on my drive down Olive in Burbank looks great!
