After those eye-popping numbers for Minute to Win It at 9 PM last night (3.0 in 18-49), NBC didn’t take long to expand the silly human tricks reality show to 2-hours permanently. Freshman Chase is being pulled effective immediately. The freshman procedural produced by Jerry Bruckheimer was given a second chance with a midseason move from its original Monday 10 PM slot to Wednesdays 9 PM but it was crushed there by American Idol.

It would’ve been nice if NBC had promoted this show AT ALL and if it had aired it this week when Modern Family and American Idol either were reruns or weren’t on (probably helped Minute’s ‘soaring’ ratings) especially since it’s last episode was its strongest.
I wasn’t hip on another law enforcement show since I have “Justified” on my must-watch list. After a friend convinced me to give “Chase” a try, I was hooked. I watched the last four airings of the show: superb casting, great dialogue, fantastic storytelling.
It makes me wonder if it was TOO REAL for this liberal network. After all, it only reinforced why the U.S./Mexico border needs to be sealed, given increased drug trafficking, cartel violence, etc. as witnessed on the nightly news.
NBC: Give “Chase” another time slot, another chance. And market the show right, will’ya?!
I think what hurt Chase the most this season was the over-saturation of Law Enforcement procedurals. The networks greenlit so many Cop/Lawyer procedurals and in addition to what people currently watch, there was simply too much and Chase got lost in the shuffle. I amazed that NBC even gave Chase a full season, until they cut it back to 18. Hopefully the final 5 episodes will air at some point, but I’m assuming with NBC’s new brass, the show is dead come May.
So this is where TV is going? Bruckheimer produced dramas replaced by Stupid Human Tricks, the show. For 2 hours?
Fu*k you NBC.
That is 2 more hours that I will not be watching NBC.
I love CHASE and saw the writing on the wall when it was taken off the air for a while and they could never pick a day for it. But, this is a show that was must see TV and NBC killed another great show and never gave it enough time or promotion to make it.
hi i loved chase it had good show plotts and the cast was great. it is too bad there took it off.what about thursday night that is a wasted night, stop law and order i never watches and never did. thanks
CHASE is a great show! Scheduling the show against Monday Night Football and then against AMERICAN IDOL is truly not a fair measuring stick. The network didnt promote the show much either. Well acted, excellent production value and solid scripts. NBC… please give this show another chance…
I was dissapointed to hear NBC pulled Chase to air a game show. I have tried watching it twice and just can’t get into it. Pleae bring back Chase. It’s a great show!!
