It will be a Charlie Sheen TV morning tomorrow. NBC’s Today Show this afternoon interviewed the ubiquitous Two and a Half Men star at his home this afternoon. Jeff Rossen conducted the one-on-one, which will air on Today tomorrow morning. “Charlie Sheen demands personal apology from Two And A Half Men producer Chuck Lorre and CBS,” The Today Show executive producer Jim Bell just tweeted. “Incredible stuff.” The interview will air in the opening 7 AM hour of Today, which means that it may be the first TV interview with Sheen to hit the air.
Also tomorrow morning, ABC’s Good Morning America will run the first part of its own interview with Sheen, taped yesterday. It had been touted as an exclusive until Sheen decided to sit down with Today too. With CBS’ The Early Show out of contention for obvious reasons (CBS has been a main target of Sheen’s rants), the troubled actor will now be on every major broadcast network morning show. So much for post-Oscar coverage being the leading story Monday AM…

While I think he’s totally lashing out and appears to be off the reservation….do people outside of Hollywood really care about Charlie Sheen? The ratings for 2.5 Men don’t seem to have been affected by his earlier antics (largely I think because he wasn’t really acting — he was just being himself). It will be interesting to see if anyone really pays attention outside of this industry come Monday and Tuesday when these interviews are scheduled to air.
It would be refreshing if no one tuned in because of him, and changed the channel when he appeared. But, I suspect that there are still plenty of people across the nation who can’t get enough of the Charlie Sheen wrecking ball in action.

I like Mr.Sheen, I feel real bad that he is going though a bad time. but we should pray for him not bring him down, when i seen his show I LAUGH AND MAKES ME FEEL HAPPY FOR THE SHORT TIME HE IS ON. rIGHT NOW HE NEEDS PEPOLE TO BRING HIM UP NOT DOWN, PRAY FOR HIM . If I could I would go and help him so you all would see what I see, a man with a very big heart. No matter what he was at work doing his show, don’t take that away from him, we might loose him for sure. Think what you are doing, he not a little boy for you to star to take things away from him and think that will help. He is grown man not a boy. Just pray for him.
But does anyone really truly “get” Charlie Sheen?
Just when we think NBC can’t get any dumber, they are going to show an interview with Charlic Sheen. Honeycuns, the sheen is OFF the boy; he is a pathetic charicature of his TV role. This hoopla about “2/1/2 (so called) Men” has become the biggest nothing story of the year, yet the fans seem to be mesmerized at the death watch. I suspect it reflects the mental level of the viewers of the show. It will be replaced, the fans will move on and the law suits will employ many shysters. They will eat up whatever profits have been made by Sheen and the studios, the supporting actors will move on, and Chump Charlie will continue to be “addicted to himslf” Ho Hum!!
Now obviously there’s hardly any exclusivity to the GMA and ‘Primetime’ come Tuesday.
GMA may/will most probably get an Oscar bump ( i can’t remember the show’s post-oscar ratings) but if word somehow gets out about the NBC interview + given ‘Today’ is the most viewed morning show there could be some even ground here or an edge for ‘Today’.
The ratings these both shows will get is probably the only news here.
Am I the only one who’d rather see/read an interview with Jon Cryer at this point? HE’D really have a story to tell …. if he’d actually tell it (maybe if th show does actually get cancelled…)

Charlie Sheen hit his wife, threatened another wife with a knife, went on several coke-fueled binges with prostitutes and porn stars and all the while the network and studio looked the other way. But the guy trashes Chuck Lorre and suddenly everyone’s shocked and outraged. All these craven fuckers deserved to lose the hundreds of millions of dollars currently disappearing down the toilet.
