I bet many Warner Bros. TV and CBS executives are having second thoughts about going into great lengths in May to bring Charlie Sheen back to Two and a Half Men for 2 more years. Over the last few weeks, and particularly over the past 24 hours, the show’s star has evolved from a nuisance and a sideshow into a full-blown PR nightmare for the network and the studio behind the hit sitcom. And there is no end in sight as Sheen continued his parade on radio shows and online gossip sites with rants against Two and a Half Men showrunner Chuck Lorre, WBTV and CBS. They reveal an ugly rift between Sheen and Lorre. “He had had these feelings for Chuck for years, but kept them bottled up,” one insider said. “Now, with all the drugs, he has has no filter and speaks what’s on his mind.”
Sheen’s latest outburst happened on Pat O’Brien’s appropriately titled show Loose Cannons, on which he called Two and a Half Men co-creators/exec producers Lorre and Lee Aronsohn “a couple of AA Nazis and really just blatant hypocrites. And Two and a Half Men, the show, which has been paying him more than a $1.2 million an episode? Sheen called it “dribble” and “pukefest that everybody worships.” Work on the show “has been a toxic environment for eight years,” he added. “I felt like an unwelcome relative, being given cold coffee at 9′o clock every night. I just got tired of it, of people not knowing the truth.”
Sheen took a militant stand against Warner Bros. and CBS and said he would fight them to get paid for the show’s unproduced episodes. “Defeat is not an option. They know what they did was wrong they are in absolute breach (of contract). I did nothing wrong. I expressed an opinion, I get the first amendment behind me. Defeat is not an option.”
“We are at war, and there are ways to deal with these clowns and take all their money.”
With all the bad blood that has been spilling out for the past 2 days and Lorre pretty much ruling out continuing the show without Sheen, observers see two possible outcomes for the show: either Sheen succumbs to his addiction completely with tragic consequences, effectively putting an end to it or he hits rock bottom and recovers making a ninth season possible with different showrunners. (No one can see Sheen working with Lorre and Lee Aronsohn ever again but both producers are poised to get a financial windfall if the show does another season.)
Sheen echoed that potential scenario in his radio interview today: “If they want to roll back to season nine, I gave them my word I would do that, but not with the turds that are currently in place. That’s impossible. Can you imagine going back into the sludgepit with those knuckleheads at this point? Can you imagine? It would go bad quickly.”
Also dragged into the mudslinging today was CBS Corp. CEO Leslie Moonves. “He rolled into my house and he made a man-to-man request and I honored it,” Sheen said. “And I asked for a couple of things and he’s not honoring that, so we’re pretty much done. I don’t know — whatever, unless he’s got a really good excuse for a guy that like lives in the middle of truth.”

Just cancel the damn thing and send Sheen to the psych ward where he belongs.
I agree. Because in the bigger scheme of things, does anyone TRULY GIVE A SHIT !?
yep, obviously people do.
We do care because it is one of our favorite shows. Charlie can be replaced easily…we all seem to like the idea of replacing Charlie with Robert Downey Jr. to play the role of their long lost “Cousin Bob” who comes to live with them after Charlie “dies” and Bob brings his own issues to the show by being one of the crazy Harpers. I say change the name of the show to “Keeping up with the Harpers” and start all over again fresh with Jake, Allen, Burda and Evelyn letting cousin Bob, who is a struggling actor in Hollywood, move into the beach house that Evelyn has purchased for the family (or that Charlie has left to Allen) and let the show go on…!!!
No. No one does.
If no one gave a shit this site wouldn’t exist. sad but true.
OBVIOUSLY! see how many posts.
No sane person likes to notion of seeing a horrible car wreck, but upon passing by one, who can resist taking a glimpse of the outcome?
Sheen’s arrogance and megalomania do not warrant anyone’s caring and concern, but . . damn, it’s sure some kind of sadistic fun to watch a privileged and lucky jack ass totally throw away a career and fortune and completely destroy himself in public.
Charlie is the best…. he hasn’t done ANYTHING wrong…Except maybe not being Jewish…The show will suck bigtime without him, I will never watch it again…You self righteous asses need to stop trying to run everyone’s lives and let people have a right to say what they want , when they want! This country was founded on certain rights, which we are losing everyday, and noone stands up and says shit!
It really makes me sick, to think that you all can’t see the Socialist bull that is taking place here!!! I feel sorry for the next generation…
Mr Sheen has alot of “problems” if he doesn’t get good help he’ll be in a coffin soon………….Money can be a real curse.
…mo, not money…some very very poor people have the same addictions, they just have to steal from others. Sheen is just another crack head who happens to currently have money. His Dad is the one I feel sorry for, watching your son die slowly. God damn I hate drugs.
Dr. Drew on HLN said that Sheen needs to be institutionalized ASAP.
He called his behavior “manic”.
He felt that he could be a danger to himself or others.
There’s a reason why recovering addicts are secluded from the public when they are in a proper rehab facility. Addicts often act out in anti-social behavior and anger when they first transition to sobriety, mostly due to the changes their body chemistry is going through. Since Charlie is being pampered in an at-home “rehab light”, the whole world gets to see his withdrawal symptoms. If Sheen’s people had been smart enough to force him into a real rehab facility, only a therapist would be hearing these rants in private. This behavior will pass in a month or so if Charlie sticks with his sobriety.
u r rite!
You sir are a genius. This entire time I’ve been reading his tirades and thinking “mother of God, I can’t believe he’s actually saying these things!” but I never stopped to consider that perhaps the reason he’s spewing this all out is because of his withdrawal symptoms. Now it makes perfect sense and, at least in my eyes, makes him seem less like an insane *sshole. He really should check himself into a facility for treatment to cut the embarrassment off now.
I have a very close friend who is bi-polar and the CS radio recording I heard sounded exactly like someone who is in the manic stage of bi-polar. It didn’t sound like simply drug-withdrawal. It sounded like full-blown mania. The grandiose statements, the rapid speech, etc. People who are bi-polar are often addicts as well (whether it’s drugs, alcohol, exercise, food or all of the above). I think it will get very ugly when he comes down. We’ll see a different person. A very depressed person.
I am bipolar and I agree with you 100%.
Ah, the excuse, of course, the old…’it wasn’t me talking’ routine… Aha…got it…
DEADLINE CONFESSION:’Yes my dearest, sweetest, loving fans. I know I have been a ‘Right Charlie’ over the er days…er…years eh.. but I have been humbled and I have finally come to my senses and seeing stars er seen the light…sniff, sniff…with the help of Father O’Leary, my compassionate parish priest who has been rather demonstrative in his sales pitch er prayers…when he swore eh exclaimed he could save my worthless er..wandering soul and….he was quite sure he could exercise er…. exorcise the destructive energy eh… evilness that had taken over my otherwise delightful, charming and warm, articulate self.’
‘Even though I want to blame my Father for passing on the acting baton to me, making me heaps of dough that has become quite useless to me as I have no taste, when really, having a heart myself, all I wanted to become was a cardiac surgeon as I have small, delicate hands, that I have found many a use for, eh eh…and being the academic type of brainy fellow, I too could have saved many a heartless wretch er hearty wreck….My Brother I blame for being better looking than me as he got all the great chicks, that could have really come in handy here at the monastery with all the penguins eh nuns flapping around…and I blame my many wives for not being there when I needed them most, which was all the time and for not being able to keep their grubby hands out of my pockets….eh.. bank accounts…..eh..
….but not to worry all, I am doing swell, and I will be back as a complete man again soon, so there’s no need to change the Title to MY series to, ‘Two Wits and a Half-Wit’ – anyway, Father O’Leary said I can drink as much alta wine as I please, so that is good news er….just as long as I leave a sizeable donation where it counts.’
…and then, hopefully, on his one-year of sobriety celebration he can share with “anonymous” members that very, very memorable journey. What a hell of a disease!
Dr Drew is a self promoting quack and should pay more attention to his patients than comment on the greatest tv & movie star ever. Yes, the F18 will prevail and destroy his enemies with only his fist of fury vengence. Bring it on! All you ugly people out there cannot process the intense beacon of light that blinds you of your own inadequacies.Charlie Sheen will win in the end, and all the phonies will melt away.
“TEAM SHEEN”? Who are these delusional nuts? Oh well, in the scheme of things, none of this really matters.
The network is trying to continue the show because of $$$. Sheen will go back to the show (if he ever sobers up) because of $$$$$. Or not. It doesn’t matter to me, you, or 99.8% of the population.
It’s all about money, folks. Move along, nothing to stare at here. Just moron studio execs (afraid of losing money for the network & shareholders) – dealing with a drug-crazed Bi-polar star (If Charlie isn’t certifiably Bi-polar, I’ll give up 8 weeks salary!)
The players in this little drama are every-one-of-them creeps. I say, “So what?” And to “TEAM SHEEN” – grow up, move out of the house, and get a life. You’re one sad picture.
this post is manic
Maybe this opens the door to a Young Guns prequel?
seriously! charlie has more brass than all the CBS, WB and other ball-less wonders who make up the EX ranks of his show! charlie has finally declared to the world – THE EMPERORS NOT ONLY HAVE NO CLOTHES ON, THEY HAVE NO BALLS FOR THOSE SO CALLED CLOTHES TO COVER UP! BREACH BREACH BREACH! TAKE THEM TO COURT! TAKE ‘EM FOR EVERYTHING! HIT THEM WHERE THEY LIVE! IN THE POCKET BOOK! CHARLES IS IN CHARGE!!~ TEAM SHEEN!!!!!!
you sound like a psychopath.
Agreed.
Les Moonves is a sexist and a racist.
Yes he did hire two blacks to two different positions, but he didn’t have the final say in regards to the CSI and game show hiring.
Also, given the choice between Old Christine and Two and a Half Men, I would have chosen Christine for another season and put that show in Men’s timeslot because it is clear that Sheen was having problems last season. It would have been best for the show to end. PS: Old Christine only got the nod at CBS due to its lead actress.
It seems like Charlie’s best interests were not taken into account. ‘Addiction is a disease’ says the American Medical Association. What makes is worse is that Alcoholism and addiction is a disease that lives in the head. It’s a disease that tells the person that they don’t have a disease. If the public & non-addicts can grasp anything about the disease, grasp that. That’s why it baffingly takes so many people down.
Sheen has made more sense, and appears to be speaking the truth more the past 2 days than the past 2 years. Personally I’m not a fan of the show, or sheen. But I am a fan of anyone that has the balls to speak their mind as well as the truth. Everyone knows this show is a piece of s$%t, and no one is in for ‘artistic reasons’ and only for the $$$.
And this show has gotten more free publicity, and attention (i.e., ratings) than it ever would have without Sheen.
I’m still trying to figure out how this is not a ‘win/win’ for all involved. Massive publicity & attention if the show continues, and if not, notoriety as the show ‘Sheen took down’….
“I’m still trying to figure out how this is not a ‘win/win’ for all involved.”
Memo to Team Sheen: he’s a crackhead, you moron. He’s cost his employer millions in missed work, he’s sent his future prospects down the tube (who would bond him after this?) and he’s about to make the entire cast and crew unemployed. Oh, and he’s going to kill himself as soon as he can get his hands on more drugs. Please provide detailed logic on your win/win interpretation.
Whether you think so or not, you don’t call your boss an *sshole in public and expect to get away with it. If Carlos had been feeling this way for years, why did he sign a new deal recently? Because they’re paying him the equivalent of the GDP of a small nation. Say good bye to that, chico.
Cancel the show it sucks anyways unless your a half wit from middle america.
Is charlie seen 2 yrs old? He’s acting like a baby
You should learn the difference between your and you’re before you go around calling anyone else a half wit.
The show is called THE LOOSE CANNONS, but it’s not Pat O’Brien’s show: it’s Steve Hartman’s show and includes Vic “the Brick” Jacobs (Hartman has been on the L.A. airwaves for 20 years and the LOOSE CANNONS name was created by him). Pat joined the show last year. And Vic is a hero in L.A. for his undying Lakers support. Lakers will three-peat!!!
the truth is charlie’s work had taken a dive. His comedic timing was clumsy. He was just plain bad. It was only a matter of time before this was going south
I love this guy. But 27 million might be worth not saying anything. Hell, that’s 5 “Drive Angrys”
Will someone please give Charlie Sheen a brick of cocaine so he can go back to acting normal?
Charlie’s out of control, but, well, he does in fact have a case. If Chuck can prove the studio and net closed shop based on his “opinions” (and I believe the net/studio released a statement corroborating this) then he could potentially get them for breach of contract.
Charlie might come out ahead once again financially, albeit not the best thing for his sobriety.
No, their statement was about the “totality” of his actions. A very carefully chosen word to use, if Charlie is dumb enough to drag this into court. Does Sheen want the studio lawyers bringing drug dealers and porn stars to the witness stand to testify about Charlie’s criminal behavior? A suitcase full of cocaine can get you several years in a sate penitentiary.
Their statement was “…Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen’s statements…”
And no, I’m sure Sheen doesn’t want studio lawyers culling statements from porn stars and drug dealers, but two-to-one the studio lawyers wouldn’t mind. Also, are you on crack? What defense attorney (particularly Marty Singer) wouldn’t bring into question the veracity of statements from porn stars and drug dealers. The studio would make a mockery of itself more than Sheen’s made of himself.
Also, if the studio had advanced knowledge suggesting Sheen was in possession of a suitcase of cocaine, why didn’t they report this to the authorities? Who in their right minds lets an employee continue to represent their company if they even QUESTIONED Sheen was in possession of cocaine? Unless of course they looked the other way because Sheen was a cash masheen.
Inadmissible. Next.
Charlie’s got a case. AT THE VERY LEAST, a settlement. If he’s smart he’ll apologize to AA, get sober and give most of the money back to the crew.
Another Mel Gibson incoming.
First of all Charlie began showing up on set VISIBLY EMACIATED which is why MEGAN FOX was canned from TF3 and KNEW she had no case to try and sue because they “violated her contract”.
Anon, I know you will just brush this aside and say, “BUT THEY SAID ‘TOTALITY OF HIS STATEMENTS’, not ‘VISIBLY EMACIATED’!”
Several people here have brought up other important points including that he called certain staff “Nazi Assassins” and consistently pulled the dynamic into the gutter with lowball insults befitting an 8-year-old, with NO comparable exchange coming back from the staff.
What judge do you know of that will ignore EVERYTHING he’s said and done, and award him the case? And you think the studio will SETTLE after all of this? LOL!!!
I see you have littered this thread attempting a last-ditch attempt to save your hero (or employer), but I’m sorry – he was offered so many chances to get clean and he thought it was funny every time. Now he is calling the show he worked on DRIVEL and a PUKEFEST.
OF COURSE he will lose this case if he pursues it, and NO, no one’s giving him any more money!
If Charlie Sheen was showing up visibly emaciated enough to compel concern from his employers, CBS/WB, why did they wait until NOW to do something about it? Was it a concern of money or Charlie’s well being? Seriously.
On Charlie’s rants, wasn’t it Chuck Lorre who publicly humiliated Charlie first with his card at the end of the show making light of Charlie Sheen dying? Why is this point so conveniently overlooked? If you’re going to hold CS accountable for his statements, you have to hold Chuck Lorre equally accountable.
And I don’t think Charlie Sheen’s family, particularly his kids, would appreciate you making light of his condition or “conduct” as the studio’s put it.
Clearly, CBS/WB entered into a new arrangement with Charlie when the show was shut down earlier in the year. And yes, legally, this can arguably forfeit the terms of any earlier contract.
Yes, I’ve littered this thread! I want to see a case! Who wouldn’t?
Season 9 of Two and a Half Men – starring Emilio Estevez, Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones. #TeamLorre
Emilio already played a character who died on the show.
It’s a sitcom. I doubt if anyone would care.
Long-lost identical twin of the dead character?
Haha! It’s certainly not unforeseeable. Don’t you think Emilio would have been so much better in the first place. Love that guy.
Man… I hope this ends okay. I love Charlie. I’m so nervous this will result in not having Major League 4 shot on time;)
Someone is having a no-good very bad day.
Is it even remotely possible that the doesn’t have a non-defamation clause in his contract? I think they totally have grounds to fire him.
BINGO, we have a winner. People often forget about this and the lovely “morals” clause.
Yes but, CBS, the WB and Chuck Lorre would have to PROVE defamation. And based on Charlie’s rants, this would be very difficult to do. They’d have to prove his defamatory statement is false. And Chuck Lorre has himself stated his name is Chaim Levine. Also, they’d have to prove that the defamatory statements caused injury. What injury has the WB/CBS and Chuck Lorre suffered by his statements within 24 hours?
Charlie’s got a case and despite the fact I think he needs serious help and to focus on getting sober, I hope he goes to the mattresses on this one.
Aside from that, the reason I hope Charlie goes after them is because frankly, CBS/WB and Chuck Lorre could have tried to save the show. They could have replaced Charlie’s character for the remainder of the season and kept the crew working. Instead CBS/WB pulled the trigger because Chuck Lorre’s ego was hit. And this, AFTER he puts a chyron backhanding Charlie Sheen. Clearly Charlie has spiraled out of control and did far more damage to the show, but Lorre and company are culpable — in the fact that IN THE LEAST, they have the power and creative minds to keep the show going for the remainder of the season and giving the crew an opportunity to jump onto another show.
You just said “Clearly Charlie has spiraled out of control and did far more damage to the show…”
So, why are you championing him to win a case AGAINST the show? Your logic is obviously flawed here.
On the contrary, there’s nothing flawed about seeing the studio and network being held accountable and culpable in a court of law for the loss of jobs suffered by the crew. And also turning a blind eye on a man’s illness and “conduct” because they were making a mint.
Are you kidding? Unless Lorre actually IS a “Vatican assassin” or Nazi or thief, it’s pretty easy to prove the defamatory statements are false. Plus, these rants are terrible PR for a family-hour show and certainly damage their franchise.
I’ve seen people with non-defamation fired for much, much less — like griping on their private blogs.
What case do you think Sheen has?
NO SUCH THING AS BAD PUBLICITY. THEY BLEW IT PULLING IT.
Nope-the show is HUGE! – STILL – and will be bigger than ever should it return in the fall-ESPECIALLY with Charlie. Mid-America loves him, and any rant he has against the Hollywood establishment will not burn that bridge in that arena in the slightest. Those who love his show will contunue to do so…..
AND—-This is 2011, not 1965, 1971 or even 1990……Full blown, wholesale, righteous indignation isn’t the commodity it used to be……
Peace.
I think a court would treat “Nazi assassin” type comments as hyperbole, not defamation.
I HIGHLY doubt it’s simple defamation. More likely it’s non-disparagement, which is MUCH easier to prove.
If it goes non-disparagement (which I agree) it goes settlement. In which case they’d evaluate the returns of syndication for the remaining loss of episodes plus 22 ON TOP of his standard contract. I’m betting if this does go to court and there is a settlement Charlie walks with +/- 40 million.
No one SETTLES when they have a serious case. This poster mentioned non-disparagement because it is easier to win. That is not in Charlie’s favor, anon. When it is not in Charlie’s favor, no one will settle with him.
You’re right — it’s non-disparagement. I used the wrong word.
Shutting down production. Losing 4 episodes of the season. Those are very tangible losses with dollar values.
Not only can they prove damages for this incident, they can prove that it has been an ongoing thing. It wouldn’t be hard.
I think a big part of CBS’s dilemma, the sick business that is Hollywood — is that they don’t want to lose a show that is a cash cow.
If the show wasn’t making money, consistently pulling in large numbers every Monday, Sheen would have been gone long ago.
Shutting down production for 4 episodes was not due to Charlie’s statements. Those statements were made AFTERwards. Also, they apparently entered into a “new” agreement/arrangement with Charlie which they’d have to prove Charlie was in breach of first. i.e. — Coming into question is Les Moonves’s alleged house visit with Charlie and a “man-to-man” agreement. What were the terms of that arrangement?
I guess they could say part of it was his showing up sporadically, the incident where he was investigated for a suitcase of coke, beating his wife, and his berating other crew members leading Cryer to tell Letterman amongst others that “it’s a madhouse”.. I think they argued that the totality of the events made a shutdown necessary. What more did they need? Him to slaughter a few people and throw their corpses around?
It actually doesn’t matter, anon, if there was no new contract and it was just something verbal. No burden of proof, unfortunately, of anything that was said.
True. They can fire him not for what he said on the radio but for his past actions with the drugs and the porn hos. It looks like he hasn’t fully recovered. No one can really say if he’s off drugs, so this is just an continuation of the original incident. If they started filming and then fired him for what he said on radio then it could be a free speech issue, but right now it’s that the guy is out of control. They could sue him for the lost eight episodes.
But here is the thing. Charlie Sheen agreed to get help, and agreed to trim the season order by four episodes. Then Chuck Lorre had to up the ante by tearing Charlie a new one at the end of a Two and a Half Men episode. This forces Charlie to make an off-hand comment that ends up getting in trouble with CBS and WB. Then after he goes on the Alex Jones show yesterday, CBS and WB end the show’s season. This is a pratical case of he said-she said.
Translation, Sheen has a case and he will win. Chuck Lorre basically started this by hanging his star out to dry.
you’re correct, Lorre started this. He had no business with his comments, he knew which buttons to push. I hope Charlie takes themto the cleaners.
I cannot believe CBS allowed Lorre to publicity demean and humiliate the star of a long-running, hugely-profitable tv show by mocking his death during that very broadcast slot, at a time when the actor was, by all accounts, in the midst of a serious, life and death health crisis that had itself forced the show into hiatus.
That one ego-driven, deeply-revealing act by Lorre, which prompted this entire public feud, will cost CBS millions.
What choice did Sheen have but to fight back in the same forum in which he was attacked? He is a public personality and they trashed him in front of his own audience. CBS loses millions in this. Lorre spoke first and he spoke for the network.
*publicly* demean and humiliate
I thought Chuck Lorre’s vanity cards were cruel and inflammatory, and underhanded. Yes they were clever and well-written but, in my opinion, invoking anyone’s death (especially publicly, and twice) is disgraceful. Like it or not, addiction is a disease; justifiable anger is not.
Yeah, disgraceful and really sick. You’d think all they money he’d made for them would have bought him a little compassion.
I agree.
CBS and the producer knew well the problems Charlie had with drugs for years. And they did nothing because the money was very good for them. CBS and Lorre should had stopped this show years back if they cared for Charlie. They made HUGE money with him and no one moved a finger until now. Probably too late. That vanity card was mean, and seems CBS had not problem with it.
hate to say it but Warner’s and Cbs should sadly cut their losses and let two and half man fade away. and then giving Charlie behavior and being a total doushe make him pay them back all the revenue they are losing with the show being shut down including all the staff charlie has put out of work. plus sue charlie for breach of contract
Whoever told Charlie those drugs had an expiration date: DO NOT KID WITH CHARLIE! The man took that stuff seriously, and now what have you got yourself into?!?!
Charlie, Brett Butler is on Line One, she’d like to explain to you how this is going to work out for you…
So he’ll go to court to get paid millions for the episodes yet filmed but won’t go to the wall to get the crewmembers who are now out of a job paid? Yeah, Charlie’s a prince among men.
hey dan……charlie wanted to keep working, why not get Lorre to pay them?
It seems like Lorre is busy posting here!
The dude is on fire… yeah he’s messed up but honestly in Hollywood is so hard to come by we might as well enjoy the show. Anyone who thinks Sheen is about to die or fear for his life, are overreacting. Seriously. He just got a huge offer from HBO, he will be fine.
Actually, as HBO reported today, there is no show with Charlie Sheen in the works, he made the whole thing up. It’s not “honesty” coming from his mouth, it’s just plain cray-cray.
My bad.
LOL. THIS is what $30 million dollars in mid-life will do to you, folks! Get it while you’re young! Don’t wanna end up like Charlie or that homeless guy!
This whole thing is utterly amazing. I love this hot-’n-dirty town to no end!
I am dumbfounded that anyone thinks Charlie has a case, here. I can’t imagine ANY employment situation or contract that exists wherein you can insult and threaten your boss/employer and still be immune to termination.
then charlie will bring chuck’s “vanity cards”.
Chuck doesn’t want to go to court, Charlie will have plenty of witnesses on the set to back him up
what I don’t understand is why everyone keeps giving him platforms to spout his insanity from. I understand selling papers, but c’mon, if nobody aired his tirades or hired him it would be all to the better. It shows that there is enough culpability to go around, the tabloids are willing to encourage a train wreck to boost themselves. Whatever happened to the good old blacklist?
That Blacklist went out the door the day Charlie Sheen was cast in Two and a Half Men.
As you said, entertainment sells – whether it’s on TV, the radio, online blogs – whatever. Deadline would even give Mel Gibson a platform if he promised to get himself in further shit.
He’s hideous
I’M WITH CHARLIE.
This ia just a private little prediction but I feel strongly that this Sheen fellow will end up, probably very very soon, murdering one of his porn star whores while he is in a viscious state of rage. He already hits women, holds knives to their throats, etc. Now it’s even worse because he cannot have his booze and drugs and he is still in withdrawal and has no God, no “program” no anybody who really cares about him, save his long suffering father. I can just picture him out on some boat in the Bahamas with these silly ignorant money hungry sluts and he’ll either drown one or beat one to death. He will go crazy and then go too far and then he will go to prison for the rest of his life and be ass raped everyday. So be it.
You make a very good point! He has assaulted women while in a rage. He’s raging now. What’s going to stop him? He also has used a gun in the past.
Sorry, forgot my name.
I don’t think Sheen has the typical morals clause that goes along for contracts of this sort. If that were so, they would have just ended it when he got into the trouble in Aspen with this wife.
I must say that he does have a case for breach of contract. The fact that Lorre made the comments on the cards adds fuel for Charlie.
It actually doesn’t. Charlie’s real actions, often accompanied by pictures, are published in the tabloids every day. Lorre’s statement was only a reflection of that, and he did not spout anti-Semetic insults as Charlie has done.
And yes, being that it is Charlie Sheen, he most certainly DOES have a “non-disparagement” clause in his contract. It is only these drugs that are inducing him to not give a rat’s ass about it.
Go Charlie! An actor going off the rails like this guarantees more entertainment than all the crap on TV.
AA NAZIS , lol. It’s funny only the people who need AA and don’t go to AA call it a Cult. I think they should hold him to his contract, keep him from speaking a word in front of any camera for two years and I would have a court force him into the humiliated “call in” appearances that “Three’s Company” forced Suzanne Somers into doing to honor her contract.
I mentioned this in another post here, that this looks like pure bipolar mental illness. You can be manic for months especially if you are self medicating. His family needs to step in and stop his descent into pure manic-madness. He is a danger to himself and everyone walking around with that much crazed rage.
PR nightmare? With all the bs in the media, and everywhere, this stuff is small time stuff, especially with what is going on these days.
What is relevent, is the working chemistry of how stressful these days are.
is anyone else routing for both Sheen and Lorre to get in a room together and have a meeting which culminates in a murder suicide? And then to have lifetime do a made for TV about the women in their lives or is it just me?
Nope. I enjoy Big Bang Theory way too much to wish for anything negative to happen to Lorre.
I’m tired of all the Sheen hate. Does everyone not know Chuck Lorre’s rep? One commenter even called Charlie “the worst person in Hollywood.” Come on! Neither Lorre nor Sheen are the worst people in Hollywood. As someone who’s worked in Hollywood for 20 years, here is my list of THE WORST PEOPLE IN HOLLYWOOD. (Based on first person encounters and watercooler gossip, taking into consideration back-stabbing, lying and treatment of interns.)
5). Christian Bale (But, a helluva actor)
4). Kevin Spacey (Again, a talented jerk)
3). Rosenne Barr (Makes Charlie look rational)
2). Jay Leno (a non-talented A-hole to the nth degree)
1). Mel Gibson (Off the rails. But can he direct? Damn right)
The Usual Suspects.
I don’t know Hollywood and I don’t even live in the US but it’s obvious that there are dozens of guys there who behave as bad or worse than Sheen but that they do it with some secrecy. I’m convinced that Sheen’s journey to self-destruction (who could be long, the guy seems to be in the Keith Richards category for drug capacities) implied making it in the open just to bother the people he doesn’t stand and that he feels responsible for 177 episodes of a generic sitcom. He wants to bring these people down in his fall.
Whether he does it well with his condition is another matter.
I hear Aaron Sorkin is an Ahole too. Stories I have heard should definitely get him in the top 5.
Has Leno really been a jerk to anyone other than Letterman or Conan? If the only people he’s been a jerk to are Letterman and Conan: I’m on Conan’s side, but I can understand why Leno might hide in an occasional closet and stab an occasional back to get and keep a great job.
If Leno is actually a jerk to people other than Letterman and Conan: please, tell us more.
Yes he is. He crossed the picket line. He wrote a monologue during the strike which was a big F you to an entire guild. He’s rude and condescending. He leers at teen actresses on his show. He lied non stop to Oprah, which should be a felony…lying to Oprah! Only a true scumbag lies to Oprah’s face. I could go on. He could also be arrested for the quality of his show.
I can understand why Leno might hide in an occasional closet and stab an occasional back to get and keep a great job.
**** You are an idiot. 99% of people would not have resorted to this shit to keep a job they’d already held for years. Fortunately much of America agrees and that’s why The Tonight Show currently has its lowest ratings in its 50 year-plus history. Myself and millions of others will not watch that network again until Leno is gone.
actually, i have friends that work on Leno, and he treats his staff well.
and as for that list–sorry, biggest d-bag in hollywood? jerry seinfeld. and i can attest to that personally.
This statement is untrue.
Both of your statements are false. Leno is NOT well liked on the NBC lot, where he’s considered both a moron and a prick. There’s no respect for the guy whatsoever aside from his immediate staff, and that’s forced respect because he’s a meal ticket. And, Seinfeld is probably not one of the biggest d-bags, though I’d give him honorable mention.
ok, clear something up for me.
mel goes off on a drunken tirade…..oh he’s telling the truth, he’s an anti-semite
charlie goes off on a drunken/drug tirade……oh he’s crazy, those things about Lorre aren’t true.
well, I think it’s either or.
Fire this ungrateful loser, then sue him for lost revenue. Even if there is a ninth season, I’m done with it.
Folks remember there are 3 sides to every story, so stop bashing Charlie.
I do not know him, never met him, but I know what it’s like to be ousted for speaking what I believe to be the truth and the more I read the more I think that’s what’s going on.
The network and it’s showrunners should be shouldering just as much blame for this show shutting down. They know about Charlies habits, but greed blinded them. The contract could have been written differently and favored them a bit more, but in the end I think Charlie is going to win this battle.
I feel for the crew and hope they are compensated in some way.
To those that want to knock me fine, but remember your house is far from being made out of glass and like Charlie said a few weeks ago there are a lot more important things in this world to worry about.
I hope you make it out alive Charlie.
Here’s the three sides of the story…
Charlie’s Side = The Crazy Train to the Mental Hospital
CBS/WB/Chuck Lorre’s Side = Money, Money, Money
The Viewer’s Side = Entertainment value from the show and Sheen’s trainwreck of a life
