Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures is near a deal with Barney’s Version star Rosamund Pike to play the role of Andromeda in the Clash of the Titans sequel. Pike has been on the radar since the 2002 James Bond film Die Another Day and has done a succession of indie films. Pike had been mentioned in speculative stories about who might get the lead in Zack Snyder-directed Superman films opposite Henry Cavill. Scratch her off the list, she’ll be busy in this Warner Bros film instead, which stars Sam Worthington and will be directed by Battle: Los Angeles helmer Jonathan Liebesman. Andromeda (played by Alexa Davalos in the original, who was unavailable for the sequel) is a major role. She’s repped by UTA, Magnolia and United Agents.

would love to have seen her in Superman (as odd a casting choice as that might have been) as opposed to this casserole of nonsense. still, if it tides her over to let her do the smaller films she excels at, I’m not complaining… too much.

Sam Worthington is returning as Perseus, as well as Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes as Zeus and Hades.Bill Nighy is also playing Hephaestus.

Ms. Pike is just way too good for this piece of junk. She should have received a Supporting Oscar nom last year for her work in “An Education”.

The whole point of actresses is that they make you think they are a genuinely nice woman, with a sincere smile and caring energy, when in reality they can be absolute egomaniac monsters. Must be nice for studios with the rest of the world having zero taste and thinking everything that comes out of Hollywood is great, the remake was an abortion on a film with terrible acting horrible writing and sub par special effects but it made double its cost overseas so let’s greenlight this pig (the movie not Rosamund she looks innocent)

Que paso con Alexa!!!!, es horrible ver una secuela de una pelicula con una actriz diferente, por mas linda y bella que sea, no creo que Alexa haya rechazado su papel de Andromeda otra vez, las declaraciones que en ese entonces daba hacian creer que le encantaba su papel, me parece un poco raro y decepcionante, pero bueno asi es el cine que se va hacer.
