The Finder has found his sidekick. Saffron Burrows, who most recently co-starred on Law & Order: Criminal Intent, has been cast as the female lead in the planted Bones spinoff. Based on The Locator books written by Richard Greener, the spinoff centers on Walter Sherman aka “the Locator” (Geoff Stults), a former military policeman who can find anything. Burrows will play his confidante/sidekick, a bar owner who is also a helicopter pilot and can drive a boat. Burrows, repped by ICM and manager Judy Hofflund, rounds out the cast of the spinoff, which co-stars Michael Clarke Duncan.

The Mentalist meets Hawaii 5-0?
Why not just call the show The Locator? That’s like having the lead character be called Bones except the show is called Muscles.
There is already a show called The Locator…
Helicopter Pilot who can drive a boat? How is this in any way related to Bones again?
I dig Saffron, so I’ll check the show out. She’s a real beauty.
Wow – possibly the dullest show title EVER. Was “the Locator” too big a word for their intended audience? At least that was the actual book title…
I agree. She’s gorgeus, and Clarke Duncan is one of my favourite actors. It seems perfect for me. Hope it last.
That’s great. Love her work — thought she was especially good opposite Spader on Boston Legal. Works well on the big screen too. That scene in TROY when Hector is definitely about to die and he says goodbye to her and their baby? The girl’s got chops. Good to see her working.
She’s a wonderful actress. Saw her as the mother of an autistic child in a little known CBS pilot called The Eastmans. Her depiction was heartbreaking and strong.
There is already a show called The Locator. It’s a Lifetime reality show.
Good actress. But she needs to put on a few extra pounds to look healthy.
She’s looked like this since Circle of Friends, couch. Some women are just built skinny. Age has definitely made her look rougher because of it though.
Heroin-Chic is not dead yet! calvin Klein called for it and here it still is!
It’s like watching two shows at the same time (ie channel flipping). I love the Bones characters as they are ~ never boring. How can you improve on perfection? A very awkward and disjointed episode, to put it mildly.
I love Bones and I watched the Finder episode and i wouldn’t call it a spin-off. But I must say, if Bones were to cancel sometime soon, I’d be less sad if I had this show as a substitute. Highly entertaining.
Let me just add that, while I like Saffron Burrows, her accent was atrocious. Other than that, though, it was a win.
It’s not a Spin Off, its a backdoor pilot for another show that Hart is producing. It’s not semantics, there is a difference…
Cash, I disagree. I’ve been a fan of hers for years and think she put on weight and looks better now than ever.
Just watched the bones episode that introduced the spinoff, and I gotta say, it looks really interesting. Not sure they should be calling it’s spinoff, since it looks like it has nothing to do with bones, but should still be good.
