Full Clip Prods., the company founded by Avatar and Clash of the Titans star Sam Worthington, John Schwarz and Michael Schwarz, is venturing into television, signing a first-look deal with NBCUniversal International, the international TV production division of NBCUniversal.
Launched in 2010, Full Clip Prods. last May entered into an imprint deal with Radical Studios to original graphic novels to be published and distributed through Diamond Comic Distributors. The deal with NBCU International calls for Full Clip to develop original content, as well as potential spin-off programming based on its graphic novel stories. Full Clip Prods. will executive produce any projects greenlit and produced by NBCUniversal International. “Sam Worthington has great commercial instincts and a passion for telling original, character-driven stories,” NBCU International TV Prod. president Michael Edelstein said.
Full Clip’s TV efforts will be shepherded by Luca Scalisi, former executive for Eminem’s entertainment and licensing company, Shady World Prods. The company is based in Los Angeles and will work closely with LA-based Deborah Oppenheimer, EVP NBCUniversal International TV Prods.

“Sam Worthington has great commercial instincts and a passion for telling original, character-driven stories,” NBCU International TV Prod. president Michael Edelstein said.
Did this Edelstein guy’s nose grow a mile as he told this whopper of a lie? What is his assessment based on? AVATAR or CLASH, two beacons of strong character in the grand tradition of Michael Corleone.
Or not. What a joke. You want to cut a deal with a guy, fine, but ease up on the bs. Great commercial instincts: yes. Original, character driven stories? HAHAHAHAHA.
Welcome to Hollywood, Newbie… In fact, Sir Sam Worthington is apparently the reincarnation of Homer. Like, for real. The second cousin of my foot massage therapist’s publicist told me. And the complete Sonnets of Shakespeare are tattooed on SW’s left testicle. This Worthington cat is the real deal, Really.
Wait, he has great commercial instincts because he ACTED in two movies? What part of his instincts come up with those stories or characters? Don’t Cameron and Haggis deserve those attributes?
I was just gonna post the exact same thing.
They learn, get a chance take it full out.
And I Love Jeffery Dean Morgan hope he`s in for a long career for many many years
Bwa-hahahahahahahahaha!
Let’s call it what it is… vanity …. “since you were in the biggest movie in the world, let’s give you some seed money so you can feed us some projects for TV and in turn, if we buy something or pretend we think you’re brilliant, you agree to star in one of our movies in the hopes people go…’oh look it’s the dude from Avatar… let’s see it!” Hey… money is money … right? But being able to find writing/producing/acting talent for TV? HMMM ;-p
If you take the words Sam Worthington and play anagrams, you can make ‘Can’t act his way out of a wet paper bag’ – provided you add a few more letters and take some away.
so sad how critical the world has become. these comments will fade away into nothing while he will be laughing his way to the bank. Good for you Sam! a great accomplishment.
