• Good spot. Smart to show more of the sci-fi elements and effects – they’ve pack more into these 30 seconds than they did in the entire 2 1/2 minute trailer. That’s what a 30-second spot is all about. Showing off the visuals and the talent. Also, the western/sci-fi hybrid is looking more fresh, original and fun with every new form of advertising.

• Gosh… This will bomb so hard. And this all looks so serious. But when you watch it you just burp in laugh. Every time they show Daniel’s stoned face I can’t…. That movie looks idiotic.

  I don’t know what emotion Daniel tries to show with that face expression but he just looks ridiculous.

• This is gonna tank in a special way.

  It is Wild Wild West all over again. Big Matrix-y looking vehicles and cowboy hats just don’t go together. It was a bad, crazy idea that never should have been made. Poor taste will beget a huge write-off. This movie is like wearing plaid and paisley or putting ice cream on a pizza. But it was a comic so of course some dummy studio exec decides to greenlight it.

• Wow– so many bitter naysayers– all of whom will be proven wrong. Lighten up– this looks like a really entertaining summer movie. It’s not pretending to be The Sorrow and the Pity.
  Jeeez, does anyone criticize your work at McDonalds? The fries seem fine to me. Leave the film making to professionals.

• I’m more interested in seeing this movie now than I was with the first preview. Basically, Daniel Craig = I’m there unless it’s a total garbagefest. You can’t tell much from this preview which is both good and bad.

• The cowboy hats and ray guns pairing is a novelty that will wear off quickly — they’re going to need actual characters and an actual STORY to sustain this thing and so far I’ve seen evidence of neither.

  Keeping an open mind on this one, but so far the marketing materials make it look like a one trick pony.
