APA recently signed Lucas Till, who plays the mutant Havoc in Fox’s upcoming X-Men: First Class, after every major agency was actively courting him. Because Young Hollywood is where the buzz is these days at tenpercenteries. Till will be repped at APA by Jim Osborne, who was the kid’s agent at Paradigm, too. Also following Osborne to APA has been Thomas Kretschmann and Gary Oldman. UPDATE: Meanwhile, Paradigm has lost to other agencies recently Taraji Henson, Mariska Hargitay, Liv Tyler, Scott Foley and Jenny McCarthy.
Editor-in-Chief Nikki Finke - tip her here.

Dude can’t be that hot if he landed at APA. That agency is a joke.
Step up from Paradigm… still bottom of the barrel though.
He has a good sneer. You can’t deny him that.
He’s not. Playing opposite Miley Cyrus and a bit part in a Jackie Chan flop? Seriously.
Gary Oldman, Michael Biehn, Daryl Hannah… these are some of the other actors repped by dooder’s agent. Not a bad roster at all.
My Red Camera vomits on this thinking and it will be gone in 50 years. So I don’t have to feel bad about vomiting on this.
My SLR got your red camera drunk and held its hair back while it vomited. People will still buy tickets because they like the actors in the films, democratization of technology notwithstanding.
APA was the only agency that would sign Anna Kendrick when she first started out there Bluster. The day of her academy award non she switched to CAA.
my guess is either his agent or manager won’t last. i’ll go with his agent. in a year he’ll be somewhere else… good ole young hollywood.
wtf? APA? Is he insane? Get this kid a good manager and a shrink immediately
Michael Biehn? Daryl Hannah? those are good names
Jeez
Leaving to APA, wheew Sami Gores now that is embarassing…
WOW, APA is on a roll. They very quietly are signing some major pieces of business across the board!
I can only guess ‘Blister’ is at one of the agencies that has been losing business to them. Sounds like a lot of bluster to me.
Rudolph.
not to be a hater but one signing is “on a roll”??
Those others didnt sign with APA they just left Paradigm
So you say APA is a better place to be than Innovative Artists ??? For a young up & comer on TV or in Movies?
I was just talking about this kid the other day. They should cast him as Peeta in “The Hunger Games”.
With such a freakishly long neck and a creepy sneer like that, a wonderful career playing typecast villains awaits Lucas Till.
Sweet mother, get him an audition at The CW…stat! I see another missing link for Secret Circle…or anything else he wants to do.
He’s offer only. Of course.
That’s pretty funny. Hannah Montana boyfriend #1 as Peeta Mellark. Nah, to good looking, cartoony and commerciallly. I used a lot of lly’s I’m sure Jim Osborne will be super duper for him and his career.
when we’re talking about Jenny McCarthy, you can’t really call it a “loss”
He’s got a pretty mouth. haha.
He’ll be picked up by CAA or WME within a year.
Kid looks like a creep.
Isn’t he a protege of Bryan Singer? He’ll have plenty of work for the immediate future: something in Jack the Giant Killer, Battlestar Galactica, etc.
What’s ‘protege’ of Bryan Singer mean these days?
hahaha. he does seem like Bryan’s ‘type’
This headline should instead read: “Young Actor Gets Agent”… because stars don’t go to APA.
You are soooooo right, Gary Oldman is not a movie star, he is just a no-talent, lowly actor that has never and will never add up to much in this business. And now he is at APA too.
You people are such snobby bastards when it comes to APA. That Agency is obviously good at business and SHOW BUSINESS or they would not have been around for the last what? 30-40 years now. They run a business like EVERYONE ELSE does in this town. And they are obviously doing it well enough to not only stay in business but expand.
No, I don’t think Will Smith or Brad Pitt and other movie stars are ever going to sign with APA. But thats not APA’s business. However, a lot of movie stars and top executives in this business started at APA. They have developed a lot of talent through their doors over the years.
And that kind of is their business.
A good agent at any agency can successfully craft an acting career. Relationships make an agent…not the agency.
wait Im confused..wasnt Lucas Till with Ellen Meyer? Wasn’t Tom Sullivan her assistant? What did either Sullivan or Osborne do? He’ll be begging Ellen to take him back in a year, tops
osborne spent every second of every day over the past 3 years going after this kid. when he got canned from paradigm and had no job – he still went after the kid. that counts for something.
cc: leonard hirschan, ilene feldman, steven jang
meyer jammed a 20year old into a 3 year contract extension w/kids agency, don’t think he’s going back anytime soon.
