Veteran TV director-producer Gil Junger has signed with APA. Junger has directed hundreds of series episodes, including Ellen DeGeneres’ coming-out episode on Ellen. He most recently helmed TV Land’s Terri Minsky pilot and cable series Glory Daze, Hot in Cleveland, and 10 Things I Hate About You, on which he also directed the pilot. (Junger also helmed the feature 10 Things I Hate About You, on which the ABC Family series was based.) Junger continues to be repped by the law firm of Hirsch, Wallerstein, Hayum, Matlof & Fishman.
Mike Lisbe and Nate Reger, supervising producers on CBS comedy $#*! My Dad Says, have signed with ICM. Lisbe and Reger, who were at UTA, previously worked on Just Shoot Me! and Spin City and are currently writing Air Guitar for Paramount. ICM also reps $#*! co-creators Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker.

Who cares?
Douche, they will take those guys and turn them into showrunners and even bigger feature writers. That’s what they do. You’re an idiot.
Air Guitar? Didn’t I read someone doing a movie about mouth guitar just a few months ago?
Thank god deadline hollywood and the interactive nature of the internet came along so that snide assholes like “Sowhat” have a place to express themselves.
APA should be ashamed of themselves. What a band of losers.
@So what
“who cares?”
Clearly not fuckholes like you.
APA? They still in business?
Don’t believe the snarky comments. APA listens to what their clients want and goes to war for them. Last year the agency placed 2 story editors on MTV’s breakout show; The Hard Times of RJ Berger and a staff writer on The Big Bang Theory, NETWORK SHOW, booyah! Look at Bethenny Frankle and guess who laced up her skates and got her onto Skating with the Stars. APA baby! Just watch, by next year, Gil Younger will be the new Dennis Dugan. Don’t hate the player, hate the game.
Gil Junger (note correct spelling) is like
a hundred years old. Not that there’s anything
wrong with that.
CAA, UTA and WME are great if you are a major company or a showrunner that is an “institution,” but they are not the best place for individual clients with personal and specific career needs and desires. Signing with APA a few years back was the best career move of my life, and I have worked non-stop ever since. The haters who write into this board with snide comments because they have nothing more productive to do with their unemployed or menial job day might consider this, if they are ever fortunate enough to be offered representation.
Its kind of getting old. Entourage puts in a joke about APA three years ago and douchey assistants see it cause they swear by that show and its the only reason they entered the business. Get a life. I have know allegiance to APA but its getting cliche.
And Hayden. Don’t hate the player, hate the game is getting old too. Its not new but what if you did, like 50, “LET THE HATERS HATE AND WATCH THE MONEY PILE UP”
Hayden Meyer is a rock star!!!!!!
Dorkinator, I’m almost positive that phrase was intentionally meant to be a cliche as the entire comment was mocking the agency. I have nothing against APA either but you’re making the assumption people are making comments because of Entourage. Why do you think that? I think if you look at their client list it says it all.
Ok. I hadn’t had coffee yet when your comment. Maybe APA are dicks. I don’t know them. I’m just gonna be neutral and not defend people I don’t know.
APA is the last head on the Human Centipede with Gersh and Abrams leading the way.
Sorry that APA rejected you ‘wow’. There’s always Innovative for you. Oh wait, they dumped lit all together. A solid agency. When everyone PASSED on Sheldon Turner, they gave him a chance. Up In The Air was a decent little film.
Up in the Air was great, but Reitman started from scratch without reading Sheldon’s draft.
Hayden Meyer is a rock star? Who, Boy George? That comment was either written by his Mom, assistant or him.
APA is fine for “performers” but it is not an agency known for Literary. Not even close. If anyone disagrees, please list all the clients that will impress me. Right – ain’t gonna happen. Nuff said.
