• June 14th is after the Tony awards so if they have a good host we can look forward to dozens of jokes about Spider-Man. Bring in Letterman to host this year he deserves a chance.

• Kathy Griffin has said she wants to host the Tonys.

  With this news, they just have to have her host.

  Julie Taymor will never work on Broadway again.

  • Julie Taymor may not work anywhere for quite some time…

    Remember… “Heaven’s Gate”.

    And, it is too bad, as she is a talented lady with extraordinary vision, but this time it failed on a monumental scale. If they actually fix the show…people will give her credit for birthing the concept.

    Sorry to say…the odds are not in Julie’s favor

• Letterman would be perfect. He seems to truly appreciate and celebrate his theater’s location on Broadway, with his program taking full advantage of guests and performances from neighboring stages. But I suspect that he remains award-show-shy after his Oscar stint.
