Alex Breckenridge (Life Unexpected) has been tapped as one of the 2 leads in CW’s pilot Cooper & Stone. The pilot, from writer-exec producer Laurie Arent and CBS TV Studios, is about Jenna Cooper (Breckenridge) and Stone, two smart young female detectives on Chicago’s North Side who are best friends, equally adept at discussing fashion, music, pop culture as they are solving homicides. John Wirth serves as showrunner.

Honestly, every time I hear the one-liner description of that show I feel like I’m gonna throw up.
The description of this show sounds painfully dumb. It’s so egregiously terrible and bad, that it sounds like a parody.
I’ve actually pitched this idea as a joke to my agents and then said, Okay, here’s what I’m actually pitching this season…
Shocking awfulness of this idea aside (at least in logline firm, I admittedly haven’t read the script) I do love me so Alex Breckenridge.
Of course you have not read the script because you can’t get it … god wanna be green lit writers have huge chips on their shoulders!
This sounds like a bad SNL sketch.
Perhaps this is a new CW comedy?
Is this a joke? John Wirth, man, you can do better than this regurgitated crud.
Don’t knock it if you haven’t read it. Laurie Arent is a very talented writer.
decent script, has 0 chance of getting picked up unless they had cast Justin Bieber and Charlie Sheen as Cooper and Stone
Pretty lame to smash something you don’t know, sounds like some of you commenters need more problems in your life. I think the show sounds cool and fun! Love Alex Breckenridge!
Take a look at “Killer Hair: a Lacey Smithsonian Mystery.”
The bad joke of the shopaholic-detective wears off in about,
oh, 3 minutes. Cutesy crime fighters just don’t work. Another one
of Dawn’s waste of a million+.
Needs an underlying fantasy element. Like a singing elf that solves crimes or a talking goat that solves crimes.
I’ve been having a rough 2011 so far and let me tell you reading the description of this show gave me the biggest laugh I’ve had in weeks. This sounds AWFUL.
More white actors cast on a T Network show. What, Chicago doesn’t have female cops of color?
I sure hope someone picks up this pilot so my friends and neighbors in Ravenswood Gardens can enjoy our notoriety. We have had to deal with a lot lately! First we had hundreds of reporters surrounding the Gov’s house not to mention the helicopters during his fall from power and his circus trial.
Then we lost a loved and sometime hated nationally known Mayor, (surprisingly not due to a major blizzard), endured a 5-way election and replaced “Da Mayer” with a new one from the North side of Washington D.C. (which we tried to annex like we did to Eastern Bensenville and a cemetary).
We’ve now had three days of film crews along with their numerous semi-trailers filled with film equipment emitting continuous droning from their compressors.
I’m really surprised that the Ex-Gov hasn’t been seen jogging around the film site looking for a gig as a walk-on!
What’s next, “Blago part Two” or the Old Town School of Music’s
Summer repertoire (which happens to be in Lincoln Square)?
Does this top “March Madness” or what?! Stop the CNN; Fox News and Omar @ eight and Give me back my Compost; or its take me out to the ballpark!
