• Isn’t it a bit disingenuous to come to an entertainment industry news website and not expect industry news as it relates to the world at large?

  Glad to hear the cast and crew of H5O are safe, along with all of Hawaii’s residents.

• This is an industry news blog… It is reporting specifically on how this affects the industry.

  For round the clock coverage of the tragedy, people have countless news sources available to them… Now if this was the cover of the NY Times, we’d have issues.

• Indeed, this is an entertainment site. The networks, broadcast and cable, are all reporting and updating on their own news websites about events in Japan, and on Hawaii and the US West Coast, where damage still may occur. So any news you’d like on the real life drama and tragedy is awaiting you there. If you came looking for it here, I suggest you choose a more likely and appropriate outlet.

  And as I have family in Hawaii, I am glad to know things are fine there. It might have been quite disastrous. If that means the cast and crew of H50 are also ok, I think that’s lovely to know. Thank you.

• Today’s HAWAII FIVE-O… let’s face it -it’s crap.

  Nothing iconic about it. Certainly not even a fraction of the impact that Leonard Freeman’s original had, either in ratings or tourist dollars. And as hard and ego minded as Jack Lord was… well he was HAWAII FIVE-O and always will be.

  I’m sure as we speak, some scribe is coming up with a tsunami plotline for the show.

• Take this headline down. It’s in really bad taste. We still don’t even know how many thousands are dead or if there is going to be a serious nuclear disaster but Hawaii 5-0 is going to be just fine?
