Lars Ulrich? Metallica doing the soundtrack too?
Tony Soprano helped out Metallica with the old Napster thing
now Lars is returning the favor.
Uh, you forgot to preface it with “The Brilliant” David Strathairn! Congrats David, Madeline and Toni!
and Adam Schweitzer!!!!!!!!!
Hopefully third time lucky for Molly Parker .
Twice in a row before she’s been cast in HBO productions and we’ve haven’t gotten to see any footage
We’ll just send HBO their EMMY statue now to save time.
Have you read this script? It’s horrible.
I’m sure I speak for a lot of people when I read that cast list and who everyone’s playing by responding with, “WOW!!!”
Why isn’t Gandolfini playing Hemingway?
I remember when movies like this came out in theaters. Thanks, 3D!
Seriously though, that cast list is unbeatable. Hope they’re making room on their collective mantle for statues.
Who’s playing Gertrude Stein? How about Rosie O’Donnell?
Don’t forget that Edin Gali from Mad Men is in this too!
OK, I’m a John Dos Passos geek. THe fact that ANYONE is playing him in a movie is cool to me.
Oh, and if anyone would like to pay me to adapt the U.S.A. Trilogy for HBO, I will happily oblige them. It’s the greatest novel(s) you’ve never read.
I can just see Lars Ulrich and Hemingway sitting on the terrace of the Dome Cafe in Paris in 1925. Lars starts tapping his fingers on the table and Hemingway slaps his pencil down onto his notebook and says, “Look, Mac…if you want to play the drums go join the damn Folies Bergere!”
Lars Ulrich: “I knew calling our song ‘For Whom the Bell Tolls’ would pay off someday. Flattery will get you everywhere.”
