Lauren Cohan has landed the female lead in the CW supernatural drama pilot Heavenly. Ryan Eggold also has been tapped for a lead role in the project, from CBS TV Studios and writer Richard Hatem. Heavenly centers on Lily (Cohan), a dedicated young attorney, and a former angel, Dashiel Coffee (Ben Aldridge), only recently turned human, who tackle cases at the attorney’s legal aid clinic – she saves clients’ butts while he saves their souls. Eggold, repped by Gersh and Untitled, will play a pastor whom Dashiel seeks counsels from. Also previously cast in the pilot is Elizabeth Ho. Cohan has recurred on two CW series, Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries.
Kevin Zegers (Dawn of the Dead) has landed a lead role opposite Jimmy Wolk in ABC’s Georgetown. Written by Will Fetters, it centers on Andrew Pierce (Wolk), an effortlessly charming and brilliant Yale graduate and the youngest presidential speechwriter on record. Zegers will play Monty, an incredibly wealthy stockbroker from a well-connected family and an old rival of Andrew’s who has just proposed to an old girlfriend of Andrew’s. Canadian-born Zegers has been recurring on the CW’s Gossip Girl this season.
Alanna Ubach has landed the last lead in in Rob Thomas’ single-camera comedy pilot for Fox Little In Common. The WBTV-produced pilot is about three families united through their kids’ Little League sports. It centers on the Wellers (Rob Corddry, Paula Marshall), who move from San Jose, Calif., to Austin, Texas, but find that their adjustment won’t be quite that easy considering their Latino neighbors, the Pachecos (Ubach, Lombardo Boyar), have a radically different approach to child-rearing than they do, while their other new neighborhood acquaintances, the African American Burlesons (Kevin Hart, Gabrielle Union), take sports very seriously. Ubach, repped by Gersh and Margit Poliak Management, voices a character in Rango and will next be seen in Bad Teacher.
TV Editor Nellie Andreeva - tip her here.

Yes! Alanna is an under appreciated comedy goddess. Would be glad to see her on my TV on a weekly basis.
GREAT CHOICE WB/ABC!!!!!! Georgetown is shaping up to be a hit. Zegers and Wolk are two stars in my opinion and ABC should count themselves lucky to have landed them. Between Zegers and his track record of standout performances in award winning films and Wolk with his great work in the poorly handled “Lone Star”, I will be very interested to see how this show comes together. Eye-candy aside, I hope the writing enables these actors to show their chops. Solid choice on Zegers, I’m impressed.
Kevin Zeggers is the biggest joke of a actor/person ever. Hollywood Producers and Casting Agents- don’t cast this loser in anything else. Let him fade back into obscurity where he belongs.
Unless of course- they do another sequel to Air bud!
sour grapes
YOU OBVIOUSLY ARE NOT A VERY GOOD CRITIC. Look at his work and how
he obviously has matured and really has grown as an actor and not let his celebrity status go to his head.Good for you Kevin!!
LOVE Ryan Eggold! Think he’s the real deal…sexy casting! Sounds like an interesting show…
I’m sensing that you’re an ex-girlfriend!! Haha. Zegers is a very well respected man/actor in this town. I’ve never heard anything but good stuff about him. I also feel like he has a very fine body of work. Sounds like sour grapes to me.
And the great TV Network wasteland becomes ever more white. When will TV reflect the rest of America?
Lame
Alanna Ubach is not white. half mexican and half puerto rican. and the rest of the cast includes kevin hart, gabrielle union and lombardo boyar, all of whom are diverse… you post this same comment to every casting announcement.
Rob Thomas is way too talented to be chasing after “Modern Family”‘s table scraps.
Sounds interesting, hot cast too! Can’t wait.
Omg I love Ryan Eggold. He is ridiculously hot. I don’t know Lauren Cohan but I like that she doesn’t seem skinny and boring and blonde. Nice one, CW!
ooh! is this is the same elizabeth ho that that was in that episode of 2 and a half men with charlie sheen????? yay!
