This is no Otis.
OMFG, this looks bad. Poor Antonio, where has your career gone buddy. Once a budding star, now prone to these straight-to-DVD or barely released B-movies. Can’t even remember the one you did with Liam Neeson a couple years ago.
This looks like a wannabe Tarantino, GET SHORTY, SOUTHLAND TALES rip off, doomed to be like the latter. The direction is awful, the look of the film feels so B-movie almost Roger Corman low budget.
Either that or they just cut a really bad trailer.
Hmm, trailer is a MTV thingamajing, too fast, not original – and heck, while I am writing this – I have no idea what the flick is all about – then again, it reminds one of the early Guy Ritchy films…. (or maybe it is just the tall french guy). Anchor Bay needs to follow up on some decent clips and trailers and loads of P & A money…. I am undecided on this one….
This film looks extraordinary. There’s stuff that seems to be happening in this film that is smart and ambitious and really, really cool. Can’t wait to see this! Good for them…
Awesome! Tony Krantz may be my favorite director if the film holds up to what I am seeing here… Incredible that this film got made in today’s era of drivel.
WOW! This is exactly what Ieeeeeeeee’m not looking for.
This should have been called THE BIG BOMB!
I feel bad for Anchor Bay – even the poster – or should I say DVD cover – looks bad.
I think it looks amazing. And all you other haters — try making a film 1/100th as cool as this. Good for Krantz and Jendresen. They make amazing films.
Extraordinary! Krantz has produced some amazing television — now he’s looking like a new voice on the landscape as a director… The Big Bang is looking totally killer. Wow.
What’s with all the plants in the comments lately?
It’s getting really bad. 1/2 the comments are people paid to praise a film. The other 1/2 are people paid to slam it.
I read these things for the snark. Stop reposting the same exact comment under 50 different pseudonyms!
Wtf? This trailer should never make it to TV. A fully nude woman dancing, an-almost crotch shot, and I still have no idea what this movie’s about. Seriously, Hollywood, how about a little subtlety? Will parents have to run to turn off the TV each time their children are exposed to this over-sexed imagery? It’s fine that it’s part of the movie, but someone tell me, will this trailer make it to TV? I hope to hell not!
Wow! You sound exactly like the preacher’s wife from The Simpsons.
Lighten up. The kids are all right.
WILL ANYONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!
This looks good. Really really interesting
Enough with the love affair with Tony Krantz. What does he have on this website? He’s never made a good movie and never will.
I think it looks interesting. And original.
MMMmmmm-rated pulp detective style with some humor…interesting…definitely a maybe!!!
I haven’t seen that many canted angles since Battlefield Earth.
And this is why you don’t give a TV EP $17M to direct a film.
Stick to TV Tony, it suits you better.
Undecided. Not sure what’s going on or why I should care, but mildly compelled to find out more. The next trailer will either sell it or kill it.
Looks like Tarantino meets Murder My Sweet/Kiss Me Deadly. All you people scratching your head over the plot…it looks to me like just about every bit of that trailer fits into the classic noir archetype (See the above movies).
Wow, how hot is Autumn Reeser in “The Waitress” role. Since it looks like NO ORDINARY FAMILY won ‘t be renewed (and with Julie Benz and Michael Chiklis both booking pilots in second position), I was wondering where Autumn Reeser (the nerdy scientist) would end up.
i’ll see it for the snoop dogg cameo. and that sam dude in a blond wig. lol!
Geez – is there a way to weed out the BLATANTLY OBVIOUS plants in these comments? I realize that mostly industry people read this – but the comments section is becoming more hilarious by the day. “This film looks extraordinary,” “Awesome!”, “Looks amazing,” “Really really interesting,” – HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. So clear there is company bias in these words.
But the trailer – studios keep making these trailers that try to appeal to the confusion that drove Inception to its almost billion-dollar threshold. Why can’t the studios just show a movie for what it is in its trailer? This looks like a crime drama with some kind of pseudo-scifi women’s angle. Totally confusing, but I’m sure in this case the movie might be actually better that than this crummy trailer.
This is one of the more interesting trailers i’ve seen this year. It’s visually astounding and the cast is killer!!! It looks like the DP is the same guy who shot CAPTAIN AMERICA. I don’t know about the rest of you, but personally I can’t wait to see this film!!!!
Why not rename this trainwreck “Direct to DVD”, which is exactly where this whirling montage of colorful hipster crap looks like it belongs in the first place.
Agreed with James… This debate is worse than Wisconsin’s congress. Enough already. Half empty, the movie looks lame and pretentious… Half full, it looks like a colorful copy of Murder My Sweet.
Bottom line, it’s straight to DVD. Who cares?
The real snark should be about how much (and whose) money this flick will lose and why is it getting this much publicity on deadline…
Sam Elliott always delivers.
Not sure if the film will be that great, but it is good to see Bill Fichtner in it…
