did they just use the same script in a different city?
whatever I am in regardless and i’m sure it will be hilarious
Looks Solid. Just hope they didn’t show the whole movie.
I feel like I’ve seen this before.
Same rehashed plot. Looks unfunny and totally forced. Just like I suspected.
Clearly it is not as funny as the first but it will still open at nearly twice the original’s $45.
‘Clearly it is not as funny as the first, but…’ Wait, stop there. Have you seen it yet?
Loved the original but I’m shaky on this. Looks like they went for the check. Hope this “hot trailer” isn’t a sample of what’s to come or this will be a disappointment.
i didn’t laugh much at part 1′s trailers. this one i did. looks funnier. looking forward to it.
Survey question, Which film that comes out on memorial day fells Luke something different? (Kung Fu panda 2). Which film uses the same script with words substituted in? (hangover 2). Kung Fu panda 2 will make 275 million and hangover 2 will make only 130 million.
It looks great! Just as funny as the first one, maybe even more. WB will own the summer, no doubt about it. Harry Potter will be huge; Green Lantern will blow out all expectations, and The Hangover II will do gangbuster business. I can’t wait!
Quoth Alex, the WB intern.
Its the same &$@@&&&@ movie!
I agree on 2 of 3, but I honestly think that Green Lantern might do under 100 million. Well under.
Looks so f-ing lame. Will do gangbusters first weekend and then drop like a lead zeppelin.
I had no interest in seeing the first one and no interest in this sequel. I find this kind of comedy repellent and obnoxious. It’s got a mean streak to it and I don’t like it. I know I’m in the minority but that’s my right. You guys can spend your money on it.
I’m just curious what kind of comedy you like? 27 Dresses? The Dilemma? I don’t find this stuff that funny – it’s more eye candy and a fun ride – but not sure what else is out there that is good comedy….
I’m curious what you mean by mean streak… Mean towards whom? I’d describe it more as broad and ska sticky with some “adult situations.” the joke is always on them though, no?
I would respect your opinion… except that you didn’t even see the film.
What happened to R comedies?
This is the exact same movie as the first.
In.
It looks like they didn’t even try to do something clever or inventive the second time around. “Hangover II” doesn’t even feel “written” but more like, well, shatted out from some dark, stank orifice.
Wonder what Billy Wilder, the King of Written Comedy, would think of this trailer/movie?
Totally derivative. And I laughed like a moron. $100+ mil. Bank it.
You guy are a bunch of tools. This looks funny as hell. I’m very surprised they’re using the same formula for the second one, though.
This is so Lame. Not only is it the same exact story but in a different city, but Stu is marrying another hooker? Jamie chung can’t act either, and the whole trailer wasn’t funny.
Todd Phillips- Struck gold once, but shoulda let someone else direct the 2nd one.
Just cause she’s Thai doesn’t make her a hooker, you tard.
HOLY CRAP! This looks HILARIOUS! I can’t wait!
Didn’t I just see this movie a year ago? It was called something like “The Hangover”, as I recall.
I do confess to sometimes wondering what Otto Preminger, Vincent Minnelli, Billy Wilder, John Ford, or any of their peers might say were they to see The Hangover, any in the Scream series, or literally anything from Apatow.
I suspect they’d be eager to return to where ever they are now.
“I don’t care if it’s any good! Set it in Asia or something. Didn’t the Kumar guys do that? Whatever, just get Hangover Part 2 released. I need more moneys!”
Maybe I’m just dumb but this trailer is hysterical and makes every other comedy this year (I’m talking to you “Hall Pass” “Arthur” and “Bridesmaids” pale in comparison).
I like Billy Wilder too, but that doesn’t make this any less funny. It’s the comedy of the year. None of your comments will change that. Drop $8, buy some popcorn, sit back and be entertained.
There’s nothing at all likable about these guys. Shouldn’t protagonists be sympathetic? And endearing? These guys are idiots they get into stupid situations and trouble and then more of the same.
It won’t be as funny as the first one, but it’ll be decent. And, Jamie Chung is hot.
Hilarious! Even the trailer busted my gut! This is gonna be huge!!!
