EXCLUSIVE: The Law & Order franchise is known for looking at the biggest news headlines for storyline inspiration. This seems to be the case with an episode of the upcoming 10th and final season of Law & Order: Criminal Intent on USA Network, in which Jay Mohr will guest star as a Charlie Sheen-type famous and incredibly successful badboy. Mohr’s character, Nyle Brite, is from a different area of the arts: he is a a “rockstar” fashion designer whose every creation turns to gold. His badboy reputation of cocaine benders and call-girl parties only skyrockets his career and mints him as the “lovable rogue.” (Sheen’s most recent hospitalization that led to the production shutdown on Two and a Half Men and Sheen’s subsequent firing from the show followed the now-infamous 36-hour bender with porn stars at his house, which reportedly included large amounts of cocaine.) Since L&O:CI is a crime drama, the plot of the episode includes a murder as a guest at one of Brite’s parties turns up dead. Also appearing in the episode, titled Rispetto, is Noelle Beck (As the World Turns) as Debra Brite, Nyle’s long-suffering but brilliant wife who has managed to withstand 20years of his antics because she has secrets of her own.
Meanwhile, an upcoming episode of another Law & Order series, L&O: LA, features a storyline inspired by the recent murder of top Hollywood publicist Ronni Chasen. L&O: CI‘s final season is set to premiere on May 1.

who cares.
ha
The character’s name should be Peter Dragon.
So weak. Can anyone “play” Charlie Sheen but Charlie Sheen?
They tried to get Charlie Sheen but he wanted to be paid with cocaine and hookers.
because “that’s how I roll!”
jay mohr has really hit rock bottom
Starring in a Law & Order episode is not hitting rock bottom. It’s work, and it’s exposure and a lot of actors would kill for that opportunity. Being seen and doing good work leads to other things..
Has he ever been anywhere else but rock bottom? really, what significant part has Jay Bore ever played?
I wouldn’t call this hitting rock bottom being cast on L&O CI in it’s final season along side Vince D’Oniforio & Kathrine Erbe on their return, I’d be happy just to be the doorman or janitor just to say that I was on that show.
Charlie Sheen IS NOT the first man ever to do drugs or sleep with hookers / porn stars….most of them do, they just haven’t gotten caught! Cops especially love hookersn sleep with them and use them as informants…Spitzer did and now he’s on CNN. It’s the nature of men, they’re all pigs / dogs! But it doesn’t make Charlie a bad person. It’s not original to play Charlie as a character. Mohr is not a very good actor and Law and Order, has been on for decades….isn’t it time for something new? CHANGE is good:)
I think Charlie Sheen is available why didn’t they hire him?
Because Charlie is too expensive for them Gunthor (love this show well i above all flove D’Onofrio as Goren..can’t help it..lol but it is true).
Charlie real life is more interesting than any fictional versions they could make but whatever and Mohr has not the charm, charisma of Sheen (or the looks even if drugs and other addictions did age majorly Charlie..he really looks tired and skinny right now..)
A movie adaptation in several years with a screenplay by Breat Easton Ellis and directed by a major filmaker would be phenomenal..but for now i am still curious about this tv episode, i will watch ! lol
Jay Mohr… as Charlie Sheen??? Please! Why not book Charlie himself (he ain’t busy). From Ronni on LOLA to Charlie on LOCI. When will these franchise shows (L&O, CSI, NCIS) stop this ‘current major headline’ madness?
IF this series IS ‘spinned-off’ and is Law & Order: Miami (or Law & Order: CI: Miami) I hope they do a better job of picking guest stars. Neal McDonough is the only guest star so far for the final season that really gets my full attention.
Why not try to get Charlie Sheen for an episode on Law & Order: LA? Ratings would go through the roof for NBC.
Who cares about the lame wick, Charlie Sheen? I’m just glad Vincent D’Onofrio will be back on L & O Criminal Intent!
More importantly, the show should continue. Screw Charlie!
