Jonathan Cake Joins ABC’s ‘Desperate Housewives’ As New Regular

• DH jumped the shark THREE seasons ago! Is ABC that desperate (ha!) that they will renew it despite the plummeting rating? Wow.

  And what’s with Bree (50-something, Botox victim Marcia Cross) landing younger guys all the time? Is that part of Marcia’s contract?

• I saw Jonathan Cake in a film called “Krews” at a film festival in New York. He and the rest of the cast (including Brian Geraghty – “The Hurt Locker”) were fantastic. Jonathan is intense in this film. It’s one of the best films I’ve seen in a long long time. It’s a very intelligent and thought provoking film, with a universal message. The plot, the acting and directing are as good as it gets. Technically, the film is flawless. This film will be a up there with the great classics. It’s worth seeing, especially because of Jonathan’s riveting performance. Without giving anything away, the first part of the film is somewhat violent, but it’s bit gratuitous. Everything makes sense with the twist ending, which you will not see coming. Yes, the acting and directing are that good.

• I’ve heard that Teri Hatcher has renegotiated her contract but the others (Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria) haven’t. Surprised ABC is dragging it out to the point that, if they decide to not renew the show, the writers won’t be able to give the show a decent send-off. Quite frankly, I wouldn’t be too bothered if Felicity or Eva didn’t return next season as Felicity’s stories are always the most boring (and she’s the nasties character) and Renee is so much like Eva’s character that they may as well dump Eva and keep Renee.

• This is one charismatic actor. He could be the next James Bond. I saw him in the film THE KREWS on Starz. He gives a solid performance. He is intense and holds his own with a very strong and diverse cast. He[s one of those classically trained British actors. It’s about time DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES has a good actor. Although I’m a huge fan of the show, it needed a fresh face. can’t wait.

• I saw Jonathan Cake in the film Krews at the Prescott Film Festival. Although others in the audience didn’t seem to mind, the film was a bit violent and I didn’t care for the rough language. But once I got past that, I really enjoyed Jonathan in the film. It’s a very honest hard-hitting film. There are parts of the film I still can’t forget. I couldn’t believe how strongly it captivated me. I think it’s a film all sociology classes in our colleges should see. The acting was so incredibly well done by the entire cast. But now that I’ve seen how convincing he was in Krews, I can’t wait to see his character in Housewives.

  • There’s all this talk about this movie Krews, but I’ve never heard of it.
    I found the trailer on youtube, now I really want to see this guy in it. Does anyone know if it’s on video?
