I hear former My Boys star Jordana Spiro has been tapped as the lead in ABC’s comedy pilot Lost and Found. The multicamera comedy, from Warner Bros. TV and creator Marisa Coughlan, centers on Jo (Spiro), a narcissistic 30something New York City bartender and party girl whose life is turned upside-down when the conservative 18-year-old son she gave up for adoption at 16 turns up on her doorstep.
For a second consecutive pilot season, Spiro was pursued for multiple projects. Last year, she settled on NBC’s anthology comedy Love Bites. The pilot went to series but Spiro had to exit after 3 episodes because of her commitment to TBS’ My Boys. With the cult comedy now officially canceled, Spiro, repped by ICM and Principal, was offered several pilots and picked Lost and Found. Spiro’s original Love Bites co-star Becki Newton also booked the lead in a multicamera comedy pilot this season, an untitled CBS family sitcom from creators/executive producers Jeff and Jackie Filgo. Coincidentally, the Filgos also serve as exec producers on Lost and Found.

Lovely girl. I like her on ‘Harry’s Law’.
This is obviously the last nail on the coffin for ‘Love Bites’.
Can NBC just air ‘Love Bites’ even Wednesdays up against ‘Idol’. What’s there to lose?
I really hope that Love Bites does not go the same route of the LOGJAMMERS series. Also, hogans.
Ummmm… this show was already made. It’s called LIFE UNEXPECTED.
Boy do her managers make bad decisions. First love bites which is so bad it isn’t even going to air and then this script which is terrible. Too bad, she’s a great talent.
Whatever happened to “Love Bites”… I know that there are episodes in the can, but will NBC ever air them?
Happy to know Spiro has been booked. Loved her on “My Boys”!
Why isn’t Marisa Coughlan starring in her own pilot? I like Spiro, but I think Coughlan is funnier.
“The conservative 18-year-old son she gave up for adoption at 16 turns up on her doorstep?” Does that mean she hasn’t seen him in two years?
Good casting…not so strong premise.
She gave him up when SHE was 16. Hasn’t seen him in 18 years. Bad wording of their sentence.
No it means that she was 16 when she gave him up. Now the boy is 18.
Great actress and really nice girl – -good for her – -sounds funny…
There aren’t many gorgeous, charming, funny, and smart young actresses. Spiro deserves a show worthy of her talents.
They cast Gary Clayton to play her son on the show that is a brilliant move he is perfect to play her son!!!!!!
SEEN THE PILOT OVER THE WEEKEND AND FOUND IT WILL BE A COOL SHOW TO WATCH….LOVED BEN STEIN AS HER PSYCHIATRIST!
