CBS is adding some Drama to its comedy pilot How to Be a Gentleman. Kevin Dillon, who is wrapping his eight-season run as Johnny “Drama” Chase on the HBO comedy Entourage, has been tapped as the second lead opposite David Hornsby in the CBS comedy pilot How to Be a Gentleman. The CBS Studios/MRC project, which Hornsby wrote based on the book of the same name, is a buddy comedy about Allan (Hornsby), an uptight guy, who is learning to live his life with the help of his old high school classmate Bert (Dillon), a genial guy who retains the optimism of a teenager but doesn’t quite understand the concept of boundaries. Dillon, who earned three Emmy nominations for his role as an insecure actor on Entourage, is repped by ICM and Gallant Management. The series’ eighth and final season will air this summer.

I like the way this one’s filling out. The contrast of Hornsby/Dillon will excite the sales/promo/scheduling people AND YET they’ll also be funny onscreen for the rest of us.
I don’t work there.
But I’m officially calling this one my dark horse sitcom of the pilot season. I’d say “favorite” but that, of course, would doom them. Better to be the favorite in May…
Dill on has done a real nice job as Johnny Drama. I am looking forward o seeing what he does with this new opportunity.

Good to see ‘Johnny Drama’ get a new role. I hear he’s been working steady for the past twelve years, minus the last three.
Seriously, Kevin brought so much heart as Drama on what could have been a Joey/Matt LeBlanc role.
I can’t imagine anyone other then Kevin Dillon playing the Drama role so well, even though his brier hasn’t been a massive enough of a star as his brother Matt (compared to how they make Vince Chase to be).
Kevin Dillon deserves a god follow-up role an I’ll tell ya I thought the Johnny Bananas idea hey had for him on the show was great.
Crossing sunny and entourage will net broadcast worthy numbers for this one
