Fox Business Network has settled on a name and a spot for its new show hosted by Lou Dobbs, who joined Rupert Murdoch’s fledgling business news cable net in November following his very public departure from CNN in 2009. Dobbs’ weeknight show on FBN will have the same title as his old one at CNN, Lou Dobbs Tonight. It will premiere on March 14 at 7 p.m. ET, sandwiched between Neil Cavuto and Judge Andrew Napolitano.

You know, the American viewing audience has spoken on Dobbs. He isn’t that great on television anymore, and the Fox Business channel is a running joke. What does he think he can gain from this, other than a paycheck (until the ratings really tank) and a chance to spout off to a slightly friendlier audience?
@Norman Rogers: You could not be more wrong. Lou had the highest ratings on CNN when he left. He will be great on Fox Business. I do agree that FBN has had a slow start, but they are starting to build a strong bench and I like some of their shows over some of the Fox News offerings. They should probably drop the “business” and just call it Fox News 2.
Lou Dobbs left CNN due to pressure from thr Obama administration and Lou’s stance on illegal immigration and support for Ramos and Compean. SO much for transparency in government.
I am looking forward to watching Lou Dobbs no matter the channel. Norman should speak for himself because I’m an American and I prefer Lou Dobb to pipsqueak Anderson Cooper anyday.
LOLZ – what does being an American have to do with anything? oh, right, you watch Lou Dobbs and hates Mexicans and other foreigners.
oh hai, illiterate jerkoff…first post began, “You know, the American viewing audience has spoken on Dobbs.” That may be why the responder mentioned he/she’s American, and has a contrary opinion.
Perhaps you might want to explore the hate in your own heart, before leaping to point out any you may percieve in others…
He hates mexicans? Don’t tell his wife that. Or his in-laws who live with him.
…or the illegals who tend for, clean up after and groom his daughter’s show horses…
Will he be wearing a Chinese-made flagpin? After all, much of his reporting will likely be about nefarious multinational corporations headquartered offshore for tax evasion purposes that do most of their business in China. God Bless America, right Lou?
Smart move/perfect marriage/preaching to the choir. He doesn’t even have to earn over scale. It can be a loss leader for his speaking engagements, books, Internet schemes, xenophobic rallies, and other branding opportunities.
Lou Dobbs was one of the only decent hosts on CNN at one time, and with the sole exception of ILLEGAL immigration, was left of center, all of which fits my perspective just fine.
Brutal – another show that will crush CNN programming!
The left in this country is burying itself. They’ve out-used the race card and a majority of Americans have finally caught on. If you disagree with the gay rights movement on any particular issue, you are a homophobe. Whenever it is white on black crime there is always a racial component. Anytime someone disagrees with the President, they are labelled racist—it isn’t possible they simply disagree vehemently with his political agenda. And Lou Dobbs is labelled racist because he wants a secure border and LEGAL immigration.
Label me a self-hating gay racist.
SO why does Calderone send textbooks to the US to teach the illegals the Mexican version of Mexican history and the lousy Americans who stole California, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Colorado. Those lands belonged to Spain adn were called Mew Spain; not Mexico. Atzlan was in Central Mexico and when Spain gave New Spain their Independence those lands were independent and free to choose what they wanted. They did not want to stay with Mexico and the US paid Mexico for those territories. Since Mexico kept the money, I hardly think the word “stole” can apply. But then the Mexicans always want someone to support them.
