Oren Segal, a seven-year vet at Media Talent Group, has left to start his own shingle. Segal launches Management Production Entertainment with the following longtime clients: Kim Basinger, Rose McGowan, Paz Vega, John Robinson, Sierra McCormick, Grace Phipps, Cierra Ramirez, Austin Williams, Brea Grant and Agnes Bruckner. Segal exited MTG amicably.

Management Production Entertainment? Christ, what a boring name for a company.
I disagree, I like it, it is clean and simple. And more importantly, I like this guy. He’s one of the hardest working guys in town.
Oren will be a tremendous force in the industry, even more than he is now. Congrats Oren.
Oren is a good man, best manager in the business.
A good man? Bwahahahahaha. He is laughable…….
Oren is a great guy.
Having done some business with him, I second the above posts. Honest, smart and dedicated. Wishing him big success.
I have done business with him as well. Good person. congratulates to Oren.
How come everyone loves the guy after he starts his own gig? Such kiss asses even in anonymity. Carys, you hated this guy for so long. You’re ridiculous.
Hey “hahaha” — I have found him to be completely professional and yes, a straight shooter. I wish him nothing but success. Dare to post your name?
Definitely a shooter, not sure about the rest of it
if I hear one more person refer to any exiting agent/mngr/exec/ “he’s a class act/one of the only real workhorses in town/one of the good guys/a real straight shooter in a town of snakes/genuine/etc.” i’m going to fucking puke on myself.
Um, I heard from an Oscar nominated person that works with they guy, that he is indeed not a douche. Does the work needed. So, everyone of the haters here, shut the fuck up.
This is great news. Everyone knows that Oren has been doing all of the work for years. And for good reason: he is terrific. He has great taste, clients love him, and he puts his own money on the line to get projects up and running for his clients and everyone else’s in town. Plus, he does it all with a smile. It’s a smart move and it’s a great time for it. Congratulations!
Congratulations Oren! You’re terrific!
You are boring me. The guy didn’t even have his own assistant. He didn’t leave he was pushed out. Rose McGowan? Kim Basinger? Sistah please!
Having worked with Oren, I can honestly say that no one works harder and when things get tough he is right there to fight the fight, no disappearing act with this guy. I hope you have continued success, no doubt that you will.
Congratulations Oren!!! Wonderful news!
Congratulations oren! You deserve all the success in the world!
From an actual film producer I love to hate Oren…but that’s only beause Oren kills for his clients. He’s a wilderbeest in J Crew black and subtle smiles. He is always reading a script on his kindle and has worked/learned from two of the best in the industry Geyer and Chris.
If you don’t like him….be ashamed of the scripts you give him. He’s not out to be your best friend (like Nikki Finke who respects him enough to put this article in)…he’s out to make good movies and takes hits for not putting his clients in paydays. And that’s fine if you are ashamed. Some dude is opening a chain of Dairy Queens in shopping malls in LA. Apply to one.
The guy is all strategy when it comes to his clients careers. All of this broad sounding compliments or insults is a joke. None of you have made a movie in years… probably because you troll this site during your down time as an assistant to a joke of a lit agent (but you act like you’re an agent/producer already)
Who cares if he does/doesn’t have an assistant? He’s produced three movies. That says a lot…
Red flag that someone’s a loser is when they respond with the tired “you’re all just jealous failures” or “mom’s basement” rants.
These comments are retarded. Oren had an assistant and an office. He was also on Angelina’s team for many years. He left on his own accord. I know him and I have been to his office. We have had many meetings at this company. It has always been a good experience.
Oren’s an extremely hard-working representative, utterly dedicated to his clients, unflappable in a crisis — and we have been through some very difficult situations together. His success is well deserved.
Oren’s one of those people U want to see succeed. He is good with clients, upfront on the phone, can get stuff produced – and who the hell gives a shit if he has an assistant? He needed out from under there and it’s time for him to move on.
Amazing…how so many little botches can just rant and slam someone for wanting to start their own company…run their own lives…be responsible for their success. I suggest the screamers and squealers here against Mr. Segal
should grow a set of their own and see how tough it is to start your own success. So go ahead and label me an ass kisser and start your slamming.
The name is Mark Georgeff. No initials needed.
Congrats to Oren! He is quite possibly one of the hardest working people in LA. And I think that the most important line in this article is “Segal exited MTG amicably.” How often can that be said in Hollywood?
Any client of Oren is one lucky client!
I worked with Oren and a couple of his clients on the last film I produced. Oren was great to work with. I know that his new venture will be a successful one.
RRF = Rami Rivera Frankl
Oren is a phenomenally dedicated individual who stands high above those in his profession. I have not met a single person in the business who works as hard as he does for his clients. He’s going to continue to grow, I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up running a network/studio one day. Great Job! Keep up the Great Work!
People set out to do their own thing and everyone laughs at them until they succeed. That’s life in this land of fearful fools. Don’t know him well but he is a class act though not a push over. He has unique, not tabloidy clients and I see him leaving a mark. Good luck to him.
Oren is one of the mist hard working managers and producers in the biz. I wish Oren the best of luck.
Oren is a straight shooter and hard worker. He deserves all of his success.
