NBC just released the dates for the season finales of its series. The way some of them are floundering (The Event, Chuck, Outsourced, Perfect Couples), those may as well be series finales. “Outsourced” (10:30-11 p.m.)

Bring back VINCE MANZE!
Hi Vince. Keep promoting…
PERFECT COUPLES must get picked up. it’s too good.
If you truly believe that, I advise you to step away from the keyboard and seek out an exam at a traumatic head injury center.

Great comeback. I f*cking love it.
Hmm. Capitalized title. BS statement that no one in their right mind would make publicly. Is there any possible way tj is not an NBC plant?
Sorry, but Perfect Couples is terrible. Kyle Bornheimer and David Walton have already signed to other projects, and Olivia Munn needs to go back to Daily Show to polish her comedy skills.
You’re crazy, Perfect Couples is good and has HUGE potential. Olivia Munn, while I was unsure at first, turns out to be perfect in that role and hilarious.
Whats with all the hour long finales for the comedies?!
Well The Office is for obvious reasons…. but NO idea about Community and Parks.
Because they’re the only shows that get decent ratings on this shitty network?
If there is a god and NBC wants to rebuild itself then those dates will represent the final airings of Community, Chuck, Outsourced, Perfect Couples, The Event, and America’s Next Great Restaurant.
Coomunity is the greatest comedy on the air right now. Find yourself a brain and enjoy.
Have to agree about Community. That show is extremely funny and original. You never know what you are going to get week to week.
The others listed probably wouldn’t be missed by too many people. And personally I think Harry’s Law can go as well. NBC has some interesting pilots this year and the focus should be there instead.
Harry’s Law is the only NBC show I watch. I’d rather see Event and Chuck go.
Pierre – Community may be great, but its ratings are anemic. Just curious – why the need to insult the poster?
Its ratings are anemic because it goes up against two of the biggest shows on television in ‘American Idol’ and ‘The Big Bang Theory’ and doesn’t benefit from any prime time lead-in as the anchor of NBC’s comedy line-up.
In spite of this, it has managed to build a cult following and shows a lot more potential than NBC’s other new comedies ‘Outsourced’ and ‘Perfect Couples.’
With ‘The Office’ sure to crash and burn with Carrell’s departure and ’30 Rock’ nearing the end of its run, NBC will need a solid comedy with a built-in fanbase to re-build its comedy line-up, and ‘Community’ is their only show with the potential to do that.
That’s what I keep saying. Just because a show isn’t the top rated show on television doesn’t mean it is garbage. If Community gets the ax, all that is going to happen is become the next Arrested Development, a great, original show that was killed before its time. No offense to those who like The Big Bang Theory, but never in a million years can I see that show rising to the legendary status of an Arrested Development and I have seen quite a few seasons of Big Bang. If Chuck, Community and Parks and Rec go, then that means the end of my viewership with NBC because that’s the only thing worth watching on this network to me. Doesn’t mean much but there it is.
Not to mention JOSH HOLLOWAY in the hour finale!!!
What’s wrong with Community? I’ll admit that this season wasn’t as sharp as the first season but I still see potential in this show.
Disagree about Community, that show is original. Chuck was fun for a while but seems to be out of steam. I wouldn’t miss any of the others you mentioned. And personally, I hope they can Harry’s Law as well. Then bring in a few of these pilots that actually sound interesting.
,,,And a few more.
Being the greatest comedy doesn’t pay the bills. Turn the TV off & use a calculator!
With the possible exceptions of The Office, The Biggest Loser, Harry’s Law, and Law & Order: SVU, NBC should dump everything else since they’re hardly big hits nor do they have the chance of becoming one.
From what I’ve read about the Community finale this year, it needs the full hour.
Shouldn’t the info for The Event be under SERIES finale?
NBC bringing that back is like buying a ticket on the Titantic. They need to lose that, The Cape and Chuck.
Yes I know Chuck is a decent show but this many seasons on the air and it’s not a hit/ratings are in decline means it’s time to start fresh.
New to the TV beat, Nellie? Chuck’s ratings, while not stellar, are steady and in line with past years. It’s not an expensive show to make, fits nicely on Mondays, and has a rabid and devoted fanbase. Easy pickup for 13 eps, possible extension to full season order once all the new “great idea pilots” tank harder than The Ev3nt. NBC needs to stop with all these new shows and stunt casting, and build up what they already have. Viewer loyalty isn’t bought with flash and high turnaround.
Even before Big Bang & Idol aired Thursdays at 8, Community still performed poorly.
Hey, Manze should be brought back. He was the best at promotion. A genius. The network had some bad shows but Vince could always get’em there.
Hey Vince….keep posting. Perhaps someone might actually buy what you’re selling.
Friday Night Lights?????
Chuck will be back. It’s a done deal.
What about TWO AND A HALF MEN? Isn’t that being picked up by NBC?
Wow! I don’t watch any of these series. I occasionally watch Chuck, for mindless fare, but only “On Demand.”
Community and Outsourced are hilarious. I watch them with my mouth open and eyebrows raised. Chuck and Harry’s law are lighthearted and enjoyable.
I love Outsourced.
