Olivia Thirlby has been set to star with Robert De Niro and Paul Dano in Another Bullshit Night In Suck City, the Nick Flynn memoir that has been adapted and will be directed by Paul Weitz for Focus Features. Expect a title change. The film is about an unconventional relationship that exists between a father and son while the latter (Dano) is employed as a caseworker at a Boston homeless shelter. Thirlby will play Denise, the love interest who helps get him the job at the shelter. Corduroy Films and Depth of Field will produce. Thirlby just wrapped Judge Dredd and The Darkest Hour, the latter of which will be released in August. She’s repped by Management 360 and 3 Arts.

why does this actress have two managers and no agent?
She joined 3 Arts when Sarah Shyn left Gersh to become a manager. Shyn discovered her a long time ago even before her Gersh days so there’s loyalty she has to her but also the loyalty and good work her managers at Mgmt360 were doing. It’s unorthodox but it’s clearly working.
Seems to be working for her.
Been excited for this adaptation for some time. Like the casting choioces.
Yeah, I hope De Niro does the same schtick he’s done in his last 10 movies…
“Another Bieber Night in Lameass City”
“Another Darn Night in Heck City”
“Another Wacky Night in Pleasant City”
Okay, that’s the best I have. I know there are a hundred better ones out there.
Pittsburgh has a much suckier feel than a lot of places, why not film there ?
Not while there is a Detroit.
Coming up with attention getting unusable titles seems like the hottest overdone trend since teen vampires.
Olivia is cool, talented and hot! Look forward to seeing her future projects.
