Great timing going public when Mad Men, your flagship, is in jeopardy. That Josh Sapan must be a real dynamo.
I wouldn’t quite call Mad Men the flagship anymore considering The Walking Dead did close to 3 times Mad Men’s numbers. Its pretty clear The Walking Dead is going to be driving this companies business going forward.
What’s happening with Mad Men again? Great timing!
That’s great big congrats to Josh he’s terrific!!
You have to ask if what they have acomplished at AMC in the last 4 or 5 years is unprecedented for TV. Mad Men was a great start. Brekaing Bad was better. Rubicon was a good idea but too damn hard for TV. The Walking Dead is a huge risk, rewarded. The Killing, from all I’ve seen, is another shot to do something better than what’s been done in a genre that’s been done a lot. Good for Josh…whoever the hell he is and good for them for not being the period piece, Mad Men network. That could have been the easy step after Mad Men.
